WTF. I beat the game with only 1 casualty - Mordin. All of my team was loyal, but he got killed in the standoff with the Collectors? Ugh. Guess I'll send him back to the ship instead.
2/25/2010 8:44:04 PM
Coming late march.
2/26/2010 9:01:23 AM
yall like how when you go into the Codecs part of the pause screen and hit the button to mark all codecs as read and it asks "are you sure", that regardless of what you hit, it marks them all as read?
2/26/2010 9:53:49 AM
Mordin sucks anyway and his voice is annoying
2/26/2010 10:48:47 AM
Did it again and got No One Left Behind. Much better.I have to admit that Jack and Tali with maxed out skills on a team together are incredible. I also like Garrus and Jacob especially with squad armor piercing and incendiary ammo between the two of them.
2/26/2010 6:04:00 PM
Replayed through a second time, ignoring most dialogs and trying to truly make it a "suicide mission" and have everybody die. Not easy.
2/27/2010 6:17:28 PM
Doc and Legion are the dream team
2/27/2010 7:22:53 PM
^ Who is doc? Mordin?
2/27/2010 10:45:25 PM
2/27/2010 11:27:53 PM
Dont hate on the doc
2/28/2010 5:53:49 PM
mordin owns

I'm wrecking shop on my Insanity playthrough...I had already beaten the game, and I imported a ME1 save, which gave me basically double bonus points...a bunch of credits and resources for importing an ME1 character, and a bunch more bonuses for beating ME2 alreadyBut the main reason I'm wrecking shop is the squad points glitch...Shepard has max everything, every crew member I've recruited so far has max everything, and the ones that are loyal have their special skill maxed out...makes things much easier
2/28/2010 7:09:26 PM
I don't get what is so great about Mordin...He has the bland pistol and SMG, the cryo thing is overrated especially since i'm a infiltrator with cryo ammo, and the paralyze power is cool i guess but does no damage.
2/28/2010 7:24:43 PM
funny stuff...4 parts
2/28/2010 7:41:15 PM
My first playthrough was on insanity, once I unlocked and leveled up the weapons it was actually pretty easy, but early on, especially the first collector ship level, there were some really tough parts.
2/28/2010 7:45:35 PM
2/28/2010 9:57:01 PM
^basically...i had two ME1 save files...I imported one for my first playthrough and beat the game...I imported the other ME1 save for my 2nd ME2 playthrough
2/28/2010 9:59:37 PM
Okay, so I am on my second playthrough of ME1 yet my copy of ME2 came in so I am eager to get started with it. Is there anything wrong with rushing through this second time, avoiding most of the side stuff, and still uploading this character into ME2 considering the first time I played through I did every side quest I could find?
3/1/2010 3:22:37 PM
Like, morally wrong? You get bonuses when you import your ME1 character based on their level, paragon/renegade levels, amount of cash, and probably something else. Also, throughout ME2 you get cameos of characters you interacted with in ME1, although it rarely effects the game from what I noticed. So you'd get lower import bonuses from having done less, but I doubt it'd be noticeable.
3/1/2010 3:30:54 PM
I have a very high renegade but did not get a choice to choose Morinth wtf??
3/4/2010 10:21:12 PM
My game has some glitch during that morinth vs samara fight scene, it cuts off the audio for 10 seconds and I cant even make a choice as whom to kill.
3/5/2010 3:03:36 PM
renegade options are awesomeI'll definitely be playing through again on paragon
3/5/2010 3:16:31 PM
^^^ I didn't either. I'm thinking when I replay on paragon, I may just paragon glitch it so I'll have a full bar before I really even start
3/9/2010 8:33:00 PM
New gun available
3/11/2010 12:32:28 AM
what is that and how do i get it?
3/13/2010 6:57:59 PM
^Arc Projector, heavy weapon, downloadable if you're on that Cerberus Network thing.Played through as an Infiltrator, was awesome, went renegade except at the ending... It bugged me how the renegade choices were so often pro-Illusive Man/pro-Cerberus. I both disliked and distrusted them, so a lot of the time I was avoiding Renegade dialog options to go against them.As for party members... Garrus+Thane with my Infiltrator was the dream team. Garrus can wreck barriers and shields with concussive and overload (and once he gets AP ammo he's strong against armor and health too), Thane covered the biotic stuff with Warp and Throw, plus the sniping. And the Infiltrator with Reave as a bonus skill can effectively kill everything without any trouble.Playing through again as a Sentinel and I'm loving it. It's a great change of pace from Infiltrator and is an incredibly powerful class even before taking the assault rifle training from the collector ship. Tech Armor is fucking outstanding, and having Overload and Warp on one class makes him good against any type of defense. And Throw is nice just to toss around and knock people over constantly, even if the damage kind of sucks (the cooldown is only about 1.5 seconds after some other upgrades).
3/14/2010 1:02:12 AM
Firewalker (the Hammerhead hover tank mission pack) is out now.
3/23/2010 1:29:08 PM
^Not so great. Free, had a LOT of potential, but, not nearly what is was hyped up to be. (On a side note, I've only seen a handful of games pull off DLC effectively).
3/28/2010 1:09:41 PM
I really don't know if I want to take the time to play through it again on paragon
3/29/2010 8:39:44 AM
I had a really great time with the Firewalker DLC, too bad it was so short. I hope they bring it back for ME3.
3/30/2010 12:03:35 AM
I cant wait to give Bill Gates 500 microsoft points so I can play dress up with Garrus and jack
3/30/2010 1:29:30 AM
How in the world have I played renegade the whole game, and after the legion mission I still can't select the renegade option?Guess you have to do that ridiculous glitch at the beginning to get it all the way up
3/30/2010 8:46:41 PM
^Have you taken the talents that increase renegade/paragon points? It's whatever skill passively increases your stats... and the upgraded level-4 versions give either +100% or +70% to paragon/renegade. I've been able to reach full paragon and full renegade (separate playthroughs) before the final mission, and both times I only had the +70% version... if you haven't leveled the skill at all, though, I can see how you might have problems.
3/30/2010 10:33:38 PM
If you max out the +70/100% unique person skill early-on, do later paragon/renegade points increase to reflect the bonus?^^^Yeah, I'm a sucker for DLC, but that's just ridiculous.
3/31/2010 12:16:54 AM
Yeah, it increases how much you have and how much you earn... almost positive.
3/31/2010 2:14:31 AM
^3 yep, I have the full bonusi've done every renegade cut scene option, taken every renegade choice available to me, and there have been three instances where I was unable to pick the renegade choice. The asari scene after the night club, the legion/tali fight, and i believe there was something on thane's quest I couldn't do, but I can't remember what it was right now[Edited on March 31, 2010 at 8:33 AM. Reason : .]
3/31/2010 8:31:51 AM
^If you'd gone full renegade you wouldn't even have Legion in your party would you?
3/31/2010 8:59:26 AM
that is true, that is one of the full that I didn't pick renegade because I wanted him in the party...but you would think if everything else had been renegade, you could use the renegade solution to the problem once he is in your party
3/31/2010 9:59:31 AM
The Tali/Legion argument requires, I think, 80% full paragon or renegade meter to solve... I'm pretty sure that's also the required amount to resist the asari in the apartment (might be 75%) and keep Zaeed loyal if you do the paragon path of his quest. So long as you save those "harder" reputation checks for later in the game (ie. do other loyalty quests first), getting them shouldn't be a problem at all. Not sure why you don't have enough, because from the sound of things, your renegade meter should be almost completely full. Where is it at visually, when you failed the persuasion checks? Also, I don't remember any big persuasion checks in Thane's quest at all. I seem to recall the renegade path on that quest being purely white-text, with the exception of the stock room boy and the interrogation room.[Edited on March 31, 2010 at 9:53 PM. Reason : .]
3/31/2010 9:52:19 PM
Tali/Legion dispute requires much more renegade than Samara/Morinth. Because even after getting a ton of renegade from choosing morinth with my schwarzenegger looking guy I still couldn't pick renegade.I think you need 100 renegade for that one.
3/31/2010 10:23:23 PM
Maybe something like 90%... but as far as I know, nothing in the game requires 100%.If you want to keep them both loyal, you can just lie to Tali anyway. You don't get the unnecessary Renegade points, but whatever.
3/31/2010 10:26:52 PM
On my renegade playthrough I passed that tali/legion check...I can't remember what my renegade was at that point, but I had done both of their loyalty missions beforehand...
4/1/2010 8:39:59 AM
Visually it's over the last black "tic" mark, but definitely not fullI'm going to start a second playthrough the weekend and planning on going full paragon, so we'll see what happens
4/1/2010 10:58:00 AM
I started my paragon playthrough but I've quit for now until the new DLC comes out so I can get everyone available thus far
