ARE YOU SHITTING ME
6/27/2010 10:40:23 AM
why does fifa hate english speaking countries so much??
6/27/2010 10:40:31 AM
While I am rooting for Germany here that is a case where there is no reason in my mind they cant use instant replay. I understand the whole not wanting to slow the game down to review stupid shit but they really should have it in the case of a questionable goal since the line judges are almost never in a good spot to see those.
6/27/2010 10:42:10 AM
sorry England
6/27/2010 10:45:55 AM
another reason to hate soccer.
6/27/2010 10:48:20 AM
Getting back at England for that whole colonialism thing in Africa
6/27/2010 10:48:35 AM
Wow, as an England supporter, that's unfortunate to say the least. But England is also fortunate to only be down by 1 at this point. Their defending was horrid in that half.
6/27/2010 10:49:03 AM
After seeing the replay, I'm still not convinced that ball was in.
6/27/2010 10:50:42 AM
^fuck you, troll
6/27/2010 10:52:51 AM
if Germany has any honour, they intentionally put the ball in their own net right off the start of the 2nd half.I'm serious.
6/27/2010 10:53:59 AM
^I hope you are being as sarcastic as I was.
6/27/2010 10:54:35 AM
damn england. that really sucks. should be 2-2. if england loses, i'm sure we'll see goal line technology implemented in 2014. hell, even if they win, we'll probably see it in 2014.
6/27/2010 10:57:12 AM
^^i'm serious. why shouldn't they?[Edited on June 27, 2010 at 10:57 AM. Reason : .]
6/27/2010 10:57:21 AM
^ It's not Germany's job to officiate the matchFIFA has to to SOMETHING thoughThere is too much time and money invested nowadays to not at least attempt to get it right. Just like baseball, tradition is a stupid excuse to not implement technology that would help the officials.[Edited on June 27, 2010 at 10:59 AM. Reason : 6]
6/27/2010 10:58:57 AM
While it would be the honorable thing to do I would be absolutely floored if they actually did that. This is the world cup if the refs say its no goal then they arent gonna complain. If Germany was to do that I would have to say by far that was the biggest show of sportsmanship probably ever. If Germany was up like 4-1 maybe they do it but I highly doubt it at just 2-1.
6/27/2010 11:00:36 AM
that call was a disgrace. But I think you're being an idiot. If you need me to explain it to you, you've obviously never played a competitive sport or you'll continue to be an idiot. Either way I can't justify it to you. That's to you Bolt.
6/27/2010 11:01:00 AM
^^thank you. you get it. an incredible opportunity to demonstrate sportsmanship at its highest level.here's kickoff...and nope, GER not going to do it. sad.[Edited on June 27, 2010 at 11:02 AM. Reason : .]
6/27/2010 11:02:06 AM
Maybe we should just get rid of the refs all together and let the players call fouls and penalties on an "honour" system. Damnit Frank off the bar! My fantasy captain can't buy one. [Edited on June 27, 2010 at 11:09 AM. Reason : g]
6/27/2010 11:06:29 AM
^^why would germany ever do that? it's not like they review plays in the locker room at half. and they aren't going to devote any of the 15 minutes discussing sportsmanship. they're going to discuss tactics, and how to preserve the lead. besides, there is still 45 minutes left for the refs to completely bone them, so they'd be crucified for conceding a goal and then losing on another bad call.
6/27/2010 11:16:15 AM
Because it would be the right thing to do. lol
6/27/2010 11:17:39 AM
if anything, germany was discussing how to score another goal, so as to make the controversial call a moot point.
6/27/2010 11:19:39 AM
It's J.ColeWHO DAT WHO DAT
6/27/2010 11:21:29 AM

6/27/2010 11:26:30 AM
I haven't posted in this thread yet because I didn't want to make anyone feel bad but
6/27/2010 11:26:57 AM
Good ole European beating right now
6/27/2010 11:27:07 AM
Heskey subbed in for instance offense. lol
6/27/2010 11:27:45 AM
If the score holds Germany should put one in their own net now in the 90th minute and just be like there we gave you that goal you missed haha
6/27/2010 11:28:21 AM
^that would be funny.
6/27/2010 11:30:06 AM
Haha that would be awesome and the biggest dick move of all time.[Edited on June 27, 2010 at 11:31 AM. Reason : f]
6/27/2010 11:31:01 AM
i guess its better that england gets embarrassed by germany than the US
6/27/2010 11:34:54 AM
i am so happy, so very happy
6/27/2010 11:35:31 AM
Not a troll, but LOL Wayne Rooney? Zero goals in this world cup. Is there something else going on or was it just hype?
6/27/2010 11:36:46 AM
It's not hype. No one for England can claim a good Cup.
6/27/2010 11:39:02 AM
so is london burning to the ground right now? i know those fuckers are crazy
6/27/2010 11:40:15 AM
I get it, but he's supposed to be one of the best strikers in the world. Even Messi, who hasn't had a large number of goals this cup, has at least had a number of great touches on the ball and close chances. It just seems like Rooney has been a ghost on the pitch.
6/27/2010 11:40:20 AM
Yeah, Rooney's cup was a giant bust.[Edited on June 27, 2010 at 11:41 AM. Reason : ^ He isn't even in the same league as Messi]
6/27/2010 11:40:51 AM
I hear you, he has been a ghost. But, he's still one of the best. And I would bet money that he is borderline significantly injured. **** Now it's time to focus on Argentina hopefully beating Mexico. Even though Mexico would be an easier team for Germany to beat.[Edited on June 27, 2010 at 11:44 AM. Reason : f]
