well, Consecration is not a "great AoE"... it's 384 damage over 8 seconds... i'd personally rather have Thunder Clap than that, and 99% of your endgame pallys are not Retribution spec... they tend to be holy and protection heavyalmost every class can stun (or something equal in effect like fear)... as much as you are right that they CAN INDEED STUN... it's a 6 second stun with a 1 minute cooldown... that's nothing impressive really... bubble is a 5 minute cooldown that lets them get about 3 free hits in (or one heal)... as opposed to the fury warriors who get 4-5 hits in for free after they intercept (30 second cooldown)... or the stunlock rogues that get nothing but free hits (if they play them well)... and a priest can use PW:S and get their heals off without taking any damage too... again, they have bubble, but it's nothing that will completely change a fight...and they are mediocre dps... rarely, if ever, do i see the pally outdamage anyone other than the healers... they are buffmonkeys, they make the people around them stronger... kinda like a shaman... Pallys are no more cheap than anyone else, and all classes are dangerous if the person has a good spec and knows how to play it. Hell i've watched hunters take every class out there to school... and i've seen hunters get absolutely demolished. As with any game like this, it depends much more on the player than the class.

umm, the PvP trinket dispels Hammer of Justice...Paladins can't remove PW:H to my knowledge... they can only remove effects from friendly targets... as far as that goes, Priests are the only ones i can think of that can dispel effects on enemies... and again, your standard buff/heal endgame pally is not retribution specced, so they aren't gonna do as much damage, and even when they are, their damage is purely chance-based, since their seals are CoH...and are you saying that JUST the SoC proc is doing 1k? or the hit plus the proc is 1k?

^^^i think they were referring to in-game storyline as far as quests go... kinda like the fact that the Onyxia story starts at about lvl 26 or so on the Alliance side, and is a badass story... the storylines for Deadmines, Gnomer, Duskwood, etc. are pretty cool and involved too...

those images are from the test servers, i can distinctly see new tier two graphics on lair and nerd.i'm not sure i beleive they downed onyxia like that though...]

we did actually do it with only 8 peoplethere's a bug on the test server where you can start a duel with a mage, log out, the mage sheeps youyou log out sheepedupon logging back in you are your normal self but maintain the sheep health regen. It's around 1000 health per second. My healers didn't cast any heals on me the entire raid. And we lost 6/8 of the people during the kill. A rogue and myself were the only ones to keep the buff the entire time. We lost most of our raid during stage 2, had tons of deep breaths. I'm amazed at how EJ did it with only 10. The fight did take us a little over 30 minutes to do. You can see from the remaining time on our buffs.

i hate you for having at least 3 tier 2 epics ill never get geared that well i dont think :-/. only really a handful of horde guilds who are even attempting bwl on our server. and most of them are so exclusive and require all kinds of crap to join and participate with them.

I play PvP for the feeling of danger, and the feeling of being at war. Its such a rush to go on the hunt for horde or be hunted by a group and try to get away.Yesterday I was farming some Incendasors and this 51 orc war was there as well. I ganked him for the measly honor he was worth just to let him know to not steal my mobs. After he got back I let him live and he stayed away from me until I was done.On a PvP server when you enter BRM expect a war. Its great fun.

I dunno what everyones bitching about world PvP for. TP and RP are always fun places to go in between BG's. There are always a handful or more of alliance 60's there, sometimes too many.

I look at it this way. Ive always prefered good pvp in every mmo ive played. But getting ganked repeatidly while im trying to do some shit is just a waste of time. The added sense of danger is cool and all, but not worth having to deal with it when im just trying to finish a quest or farm some shit. On PvE servers, i have the choice of playing how i want.

Look, I've got a 60 priest and a 60 paladin; the paladin was my first toon. Right now I never play my pally except to give enchants to guildmates, farm (priest is holy/disc, can't solo jack), or run a guild lowbie through an instance like SM.Comparing paladin problems to priest problems is useless in arguing your point, b/c both classes are borka'd. Priests haven't gotten their class review yet either... they're up next.Currently, the proposed test changes break paladins even more than they already are. We've been made terribly mana-inefficient to do damage, as all our damage beyond base weapon auto-attacks is now dependent on holy magic. We now have to expend at least twice as much mana to do about 10% more damage than we do on the live servers pre-1.9. Spending 300 mana to do 140-170 damage is a horrible tradeoff, especially given how small paladin mana pools are compared to other classes already. Couple that with the fact that there are ZERO blue or epic plate pieces with +spell dmg on it, and we have no way to improve upon that inefficiency. The new dependence on mana for PvP also has rendered our epic PvP rank set completely useless, because the entirety of the set gives only +18 int; that's all on one piece. The only advantage it has now is that it reduces the cooldown of our 1-minute stun (which is now an integral part of any damage combo).Our dependence on seals which are almost exclusively chance-on-hit effects (except for Righteousness, which still is useless for any PvP paladin wanting to use a 2hander) means we have zero controllable burst dps.The fact is that hybrid classes are supposed to allow you to choose what kind of role you want to fulfill. Our epic class sets indicate that Blizzard only sees paladins as healadins, with no other role viable. The sets offer only +healing and +mana/5 secs, with zero +def, zero +% crit, zero +atk power, zero +% dodge, zero +% parry, zero +% block, not even any +dmg from spells!If a paladin chooses to be a healadin, they cannot outheal a druid. If a paladin chooses to be a tank, they cannot outtank a druid. If a paladin chooses to be a critadin, they cannot outdamage a druid. This is not an anti-druid comment, it's simply to point out that druids are a hybrid class that Blizzard did a good job with in their class review. The same is NOT happening for paladins.And again, comparing their problems to priests' problems is sillly. Priest itemization is just as broken, if not more so. If melee classes get a new epic weapon, they can start fucking up people's worlds; if a priest gets a new epic staff, they... have a new shiny stick that lets them cast one more heal and get a few more mana back per tick? I could go into the non-equivalence in +healing power compared to the +atk power gains from same-level epic gear, but this post has gotten long enough for now; the staff bit was just one small example.
