"Never Saw Anything Like This

since I began watching college football. It was so very clear that the officiating was extremely biased. First a bad PI call. Then a bad ineligible receiver call. Then a bad offensive PI call. Then a bad spot on the Hollins catch. However AFTER it measures for a first down, then there is a REVIEW to see if it was a catch and then an overrule on no basis to rule it an incomplete pass, etc., etc., etc.
When was the last time you saw Brian Kelly, Dabo Sweeney, Jimbo Fisher or hell Sutcliffe flagged for arguing a call?!
Fedora should absolutely blast the officials. The league at the very minimum should file a protest.
I think official of other leagues are looking to do some "enforcement" of their own against UNC

"The NCAA should be embarrassed by this officiating crew. I've been watching college football for 50 years and it may have happened but I can't remember ever seeing an unsportsmanlike conduct call made on a head coach. Maybe when Woody Hayes slugged a Clemson player. I also don't think I've ever seen a measurement taken on a play and THEN the play is reviewed. But the most obvious inconsistency was the way pass interference was called on both sides of the ball. If Rene was guilty of PI then Bug Howard was definitely interfered with in the end zone in the first half when we ended up kicking a field goal. The ineligible receiver downfield call was the final straw to convince me the fix was in. The NCAA just can't have one of the golden princes of the SEC losing their first game.

I was worried we would get treatment like this when we questioned the NCAA's authority legislate how our classes are taught. "

"All the calls were BS. That was just blatant disrespect for Carolina. The refs were like you guys aren't part of old boys network and this is how it is. If Hood had broke one like Chubb did at the end does anyone think it wouldn't have been brought back on some phantom penalty? Georgia could have had 12 men on the field and it wouldn't have mattered.
And since when do coaches get flagged? Seriously! Every coach yells at the refs. Hell you could punch one in the face and you just get a warning. Can you imagine Saban or Urban getting that flag? Unreal. Bubba should tell Fedora to go off on those refs and he'll cover the fine. Just make it memorable. "

Now they are mad at the chancellor for publicly reprimanding Fedora for "hiring" Beckman.

They're not mad at Fedora for bringing in a coach accused of trying to get players to play with injuries, and they're not mad at the added arrogance of a program JUST coming out of getting away with egregious rule-breaking.

Nope; just mad at the chancellor for calling the program on a dumbass, arrogant move.

""My humiliation turned to anger when I listened to the recorded interviews of my rapist by DPS," Robinson's statement continued. "Rather than accusing him of anything, the investigators spoke to him with a tone of comradery. They provided reassurances to him when he became upset. They even laughed with him when he told them how many girls' phone numbers he had managed to get on the same night he raped me. They told him, 'don't sweat it, just keep on living your life and playing football.'"

"I did everything a rape victim is supposed to do. I reported it. I allowed the rape kit to be taken. I gave a statement. I cooperated with law enforcement and the Title IX office. But six months later the University has done nothing," she continued. "I'm taking this public stand not for me, but for the other students on campus who are not protected, despite what the University tells us. I love this University. It's my home. I plan on graduating. But I expect the University to fulfill its promises to me and to all students.""

What I'm hoping here is that she is alleging a cover up in a way by UNC...and that someone files a FOI regarding rape cases/claims in the past at UNC and pair it with athletes or emails that show conversation regarding cover ups.

This could be a suicide mission for UNC or Woodall.

Therefore, it's quite possible that the football staff learned of this today.

When I get raped, I always make sure to tell that rapists boss that their employee raped me. Essentially what UNC is claiming should have happened with this woman notifying the football program. Insane that they are even stating that.

I actually understand the point - if the coaches didn't know about it, tough to suspend the player. The real problem is that no one whom she reported this to communicated it more broadly to the right parties within the university (including the football team). LACK OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTROLZ!

State's game started at noon. You drive home at 3:30-4. dook was never going to have more than 2,000 people there anyway."

I love the "you won your super bowl" for a couple of reasons.

1) goddang right it was our super bowl. Bowl eligibility on the line, coach's job on the line, on the road, double digit underdog, playing our rival. You're fucking right this is the biggest game of the year given everything else

2) y'all coulda still won your division, playing on senior day at home against an inferior opponent. This shoulda been yalls super bowl too. Plenty to play for from unc'a side as well.

This was their superbowl, because if they would have won, they could have been going to the freakin ACC championship game.

This game had much larger implications for them than for us, back to back championship game appearance on the line!!

If we had been in their shoes, and we lost to them losing a chance for us to go to the championship game, I would have been waaaaayyy more upset about losing the chance to go to championship than losing to our rival.

This is a great example of why playing a game against unc charlotte, ecu, or wcu doesn't mean a 1/16 of what ACC games mean. conference records/Championship appearances at stake.
