I guess Varys little birds don't sing much anymore. you'd think they have some leak of what the Lannister are/were doing. Think they need to do some Dragon Recon.https://twitter.com/eisfabulous/status/891840345239154688[Edited on July 31, 2017 at 9:05 AM. Reason : g]

Yawn, I wonder what deus ex machina is gonna save all the good guys from their own incompetence this season? Dragons are a good candidate, but my money is on Arya riding Nymeria into battle ahead of a giant pack of wolves. Yeeeeehaaaaaaw!
7/31/2017 9:35:29 AM
Why don't any of these great houses seem to have any cousins besides Lancel Lannister? Also right now all the Deus ex machina is going to Euron and his magically teleporting fleet.[Edited on July 31, 2017 at 10:13 AM. Reason : ]

most enjoyable episode of the season so far for me. Yes the pacing is fast and it's hard to keep up with the timeline and time jumps of the different forces as they bounce around westeros and lightning speed. But beyond that it was rather enjoyable.
7/31/2017 12:05:47 PM
so they are only doing 7 episodes this season, and 6 next? That means there are only 10 episodes left
7/31/2017 12:18:18 PM
isn't it basically like a mid-season break? like, the next season is supposed to start up late this year or really early next year?
7/31/2017 12:36:55 PM
and yet, no matter how much time passes on the show, Cersei's hair seems to not be growing at all.
7/31/2017 2:30:28 PM
^^where the heck do you get your information? i always see you saying the weirdest shit in this thread.
7/31/2017 2:54:46 PM
haha, I know right. And we are 3 episodes in. Not 4.
7/31/2017 3:42:06 PM
^^that's why it was phrased as a question - probably came from an article I read after season 6 speculating how they were going to do the 13 remaining episodes. what else did I post that you thought was weird? looks like there was a hack and scripts/episodes are said to have leaked onlinehttps://www.theverge.com/2017/7/31/16069774/hbo-hack-game-of-thrones-ballers-room-104-leaks
7/31/2017 4:24:48 PM
Theory, I havent read any hacked thing.Samwell Tarly’s Dad and Older Brother die in the next episode or big battle.Sam becomes heir to the Tarly House.
7/31/2017 5:01:08 PM
That would only matter if he renounces the Watch and has Cersei/Dany/whoever let him renounce, right? What is the history of a Night's Watch-man leaving the Watch?
7/31/2017 5:10:20 PM
jon was able to leave bc he "died" right?
7/31/2017 7:23:21 PM
correct
7/31/2017 7:28:20 PM
the scripts leaking means that guy who obviously read the books and pretended like he was just guessing about what was going to happen next can start posting what he thinks is going to happen next again
8/1/2017 7:52:24 AM
Show is way past books brah. I wonder if Sams "joining" the maesters at the citadel overrides any commitment to the nights watch.
8/1/2017 10:14:48 AM
he's training to be the next maester for the Nights Watch so he's there on NW business. now if the wall comes down and the night's watch gets effectively disbanded, maybe he'll get out of his commitment.
8/1/2017 10:17:17 AM
I read the "leaks". They're probably bull shit...but they're still pretty awesome. I wish I could wait and binge watch this shit.
8/1/2017 10:39:49 AM
If the Tarly House is wiped out, then Gilly's bastard could take lordship provided whoever sits on the iron throne legitimizes the claim.
8/1/2017 11:19:38 AM
sam will be daenerys's maester
8/1/2017 11:47:57 AM
Bran will wake up and it's all a dream.
8/1/2017 11:57:06 AM
8/1/2017 12:25:38 PM
8/1/2017 1:00:19 PM
did sam tell his family it was his? i didn't pay much attention to that part
8/1/2017 1:05:26 PM
If the Nights Watch is destroyed by the undead, Sam loses both his oath to the nights watch and his reason for becoming a maester for the nights watch. He can do whatever he pleases. He could be the author of the song of ice and fire. He could take control of house Tarly. Rally with the unsullied.Or he could spend the rest of the show sending info to the good guys.[Edited on August 1, 2017 at 1:12 PM. Reason : dgd]
8/1/2017 1:11:44 PM
Why would rest of nights watch dying release him from his oath? MAYBE if the wall came down, you could get semantic about the "watcher on the wall" line. But the oath is until death you will protect the realm, so others dying should have no effect.
8/1/2017 1:38:06 PM
So at this point we're banning spoilers from the leak from showing up in this thread right? I haven't read any of the leaks and sincerely hope that no one will post them here.
8/1/2017 1:40:09 PM
^agree
8/1/2017 1:41:43 PM
also agreed. I have not read them. I'd love to see those episodes if they've really leaked but I wasn't able to find them yesterday after a moderate amount of digging around.
8/1/2017 2:00:50 PM
Can the White Walkers resurrect dead dragons?
8/1/2017 2:22:43 PM
they mentioned that in the show and GRRM also wrote a short book called The Ice Dragon where the dragon can't fly below the frost line or it begins to melt. But if it's winter... Not sure they'll introduce them in the show or not
8/1/2017 2:34:56 PM
So is everyone (Westeros) ignoring the fact Jon is breaking his oath as commander of night's watch? That is they accept that he was resurrected by magic?
8/1/2017 2:44:13 PM
Good point about the oath. If he isn't telling people he came back to life, people should question whether or not he broke his oath. But I imagine they wont worry too much about it as its an unnecessary conversation in the short amount of time they have left to do the show. However, if he went around proving his point by saying he died and showing the wounds, people would immediately question how that's possible and why should they trust someone who came back from the dead, to fight the undead.People will stop taking him seriously if he uses that as a tool to convince people.
8/1/2017 3:05:18 PM
8/1/2017 3:38:56 PM
"I'm Jon Snow, King of the North""No you're Jon Snow Commander of the Night's watch and you are breaking your oath and should be sentence to death""I died but came back to life so I'm free from my duty""dafuq?" "You should listen to me to about the white walkers""dafuq fuq??"
8/1/2017 4:12:44 PM
I think you seriously overestimate how many people in Westeros know or care that Jon Snow joined the Night's Watch. And of those who do, you also overestimate how many take oaths seriously. There are, like, two characters on the show who give a shit about oaths and uphold them more or less consistently: Jaime and Jorah. Even Sam and Brienne have played it fast and loose, haven't they?
8/2/2017 7:47:41 AM
lol Jaime the fucking Kingkiller? And Jorah the slave trader?Sam and Brienne are better examples of holding to your oaths than either of those.
8/2/2017 8:02:24 AM
I suggest you re-examine what you've seen on screen.
8/2/2017 8:08:21 AM
I have watched the first 4 or 5 seasons twice and I can't think of any clear example of Brienne breaking an oath
8/2/2017 9:40:48 AM
Do we know how many White Walkers exist? In the battle of Hardhome we see four on horses at the top of the cliff. Not sure if one of those was the one Jon killed, I would guess not. Then there are four leading the attack on the Cave with the three eyed raven and children.
8/2/2017 10:30:30 AM
I have a memory of a bunch of them circling around that baby they turned into one...but that was a while ago and might be making part of that up

Does anyone think that Missandei might be the spy in Dany's group?Remember Davos couldn't place her accent? And she just seemed uncomfortable in general during that whole ordeal.Davos knows what the fuck is up.
8/2/2017 1:27:00 PM
I just chalked that up to that woman being 100s of years old, who know how dialects can change over her lifespan.
8/2/2017 1:54:53 PM
Missandei...not Melisandre.
8/2/2017 1:56:35 PM
I like it!Never really took it seriously that there might actually be a spy, but I want some sort of sub plot to be there!
8/2/2017 2:00:10 PM
I think it better explains the whole Casterly Rock thing. If they had taken the Rock and most of the Lannisters were gone to Highgarden...then that would have been fine. But the fact that the Greyjoy Armada was there to also destroy their ships obviously meant that they knew they were coming. While Jamie might not be a complete idiot, I don't think he could have predicted that they would go after Casterly Rock (which was suppose to be a surprise).Would also help explain how Euron got the jump on Yara and Theon. As far as who's the spy...I definitely don't think it's Tyrio and Varys would be too obvious. I only say Missandei because of that interaction with Davos. When it first happened, I took it as he didn't know she was a slave and that maybe slaves didn't carry the accents and she might have been pissed at him trying to make small talk and failing. But the more I think about it, the more it seemed that Davos sense something in her answer and was trying to catch her on something (and did). She was uncomfortable because someone finally tripped her up and quickly ended the conversation.Regardless....we haven't had a really good twist (internally at least) in a while. I would like to see this happen.Going against this theory would be her dry humping (or being dry humped) by Grey Worm. Although spies can catch feelings.
