^^Meh, read all the comics and I actually think this is the best season pacing-wise in quite a while. It's not just sitting around concocting drama and people crying, it's them finally moving around and doing stuff and coming upon obstacles. We finally saw a super-horde which I liked. They finally visited Abraham's story, and while they omitted some things from the comics, it was still good to see on the show.I actually think the Daryl/Carol/Beth storyline seems forced and really seems out of place and personally wish they would have just skipped it. I understand wanting to give Daryl/Carol/Beth more meat to their story as 2 of them are fan favorites and only 1 of them even exists in the comics, but just think that whole story is pretty weak.My only knock on this season so far has been the fact that they spent an entire season bringing the group back together, for it to last about 2 episodes even after they said they weren't splitting up anymore, haha. Perhaps that's why I hate the whole Beth storyline but at the same time I'm sure they can save money doing the filming this way though as they only have to pay the main actors for about half of the season since they're only in every other episode or two.

Why did Abraham's family leave him? Was it because they saw him kill that guy with a can of food and were scared of him? Abraham isn't a bad guy, he was prob doing it in defense or something, it's not like he was murdering him. That's just the kind of world they live in now.LOL at Eugene watching Abraham and Rosita. What a fucking creeper. Also, that must be the most well built and reliable fire truck ever made! After multiple years of just sitting there, through freezing weather, etc. not only is the battery still good enough to crank the engine, but the fuel tank still has fuel in it and the water cannon is fully pressurized and ready to go! All they had to do was hit the starter button.

How do we know the truck had been sitting there since the very beginning?
11/10/2014 10:35:50 AM
^It doesn't necessarily have to have been there for years though, most vehicle batteries would have died after like 2 months of not being recharged by a running engine. I understand that it would slow the show down but once they got the firetruck running they only used it for like 10 seconds anyway. Regardless, that much suspension of disbelief kind of removes me from the immersion of the show. I feel like if that's the case, they could have just cranked the engine on any of the cars they found along the way.[Edited on November 10, 2014 at 11:03 AM. Reason : ]

How long does it take walkers to die of starvation, or do they even die of starvation? Those walkers in the firehouse for example, could have been in there for like 18 months. Doing what, just bumping into each other and moaning?
11/10/2014 12:09:05 PM
Wasn't the fire truck backed up to the fire station door holding in the walkers? And they came out after the truck was moved? SO the truck may have been put there recently? And it's obvioulsy been driven since the outbreak, because there was blood and guts all over it.Also, to the question about why there were only 3 patients in the hospital, it showed at least one other young girl in a room that quickly closed the door when Beth saw her. I imagine there's supposed to be more that we just haven't seen.^If it's like the Romero zombies, they don't actually need to eat, they just do it on impulse. they continue to "live" until their bodies waste and rot away.[Edited on November 10, 2014 at 12:58 PM. I know this is TV and they gotta try and make things more exciting sometimes, but the people in this show do what seems to me to be an inordinate amount of unnecessary touching of zombies while they are fighting them. If I were in that situation I would be keeping my hands as far away from their mouths as possible unless absolutely necessary. They're all grabbing their throats and shit before stabbing them in the head
11/10/2014 2:02:50 PM
^i've laughed at that before. Lemme grab his neck and lay down on him just to push a stick through his head.
11/10/2014 2:14:48 PM
This show has the worst drivers on tv
11/11/2014 2:09:19 AM
zombies are made of paper mache
11/11/2014 7:36:41 AM
11/11/2014 8:45:21 AM
Well I mean the engine exploded, I'm sure it caught him off guard, haha.Probably like driving down the road on 40 and your airbag randomly going off in your face.
11/11/2014 9:01:25 AM
Well, ol' what's his name fake scientist dude put glass in the fuel line. It's not like Abe just hit a pot hole and flipped the bus.
11/11/2014 9:04:11 AM
Its a zombie show, everything you think is real, just forget it...haha

The van.... enough said
11/17/2014 5:45:20 AM
Meh, this season is shaping up how I thought it would once they split the group up. Not a huge fan of the pacing after the first couple of episodes. Two more episodes to waste time until they get the group back together and on the road North.Feels like this whole Beth/hospital storyline is just filler to drag the story out.
11/17/2014 8:14:55 AM
^^I lol'd when the walkers followed suit[Edited on November 17, 2014 at 8:15 AM. Reason : ]

This entire episode could have been taken place within the first 10 minutes. Easily the least exciting episode of the season, even with two characters i genuinely enjoy watching. and yeah, the van landing was silly.
11/17/2014 8:25:32 AM
that van scene was about as close as a "jumping the shark" scene for me than any other. (hard to believe) they were nose diving.
11/17/2014 8:34:18 AM
Van was a little too much for me, but this was a good episode otherwise imo.
11/17/2014 9:04:34 AM
looks like carol couldn't handle the kickwhen the van hit the groundI dunno, maybe the dream was collapsing
11/17/2014 9:27:18 AM
How the hell did that van land on it's tires?
11/17/2014 10:12:34 AM
11/17/2014 10:16:58 AM
lol at the van landing upright. Must have done a full 360 flip.
11/17/2014 10:31:58 AM
Maybe the zombies gave it an extra kick as it fell off the edge...
11/17/2014 10:38:33 AM
I guess this is what actually happenedBut this is what they did so we could see it
11/17/2014 11:23:47 AM
they should just set up camp at Alcatraz or Guantamo or something. do zombies swim in this one? I know in World War Z they talk about zombies in the water
11/17/2014 2:13:20 PM
There's a scene where a zombie tries to cross a river and gets washed away. It's taken them a year to go a few miles in Georgia, it'd take decades to get to San Francisco or Cuba.
11/17/2014 2:21:56 PM
not if they get a sailboat to Guantanamo at least but yeah San Fran would take a while. I guess you'd also have to find somebody who knew how to sail and navigate plus food for the journey.
11/17/2014 2:35:04 PM
Daryl could shoot fish with his bow to feed the group on their journey
11/17/2014 2:39:57 PM
But once you get to such an isolated place Gitmo or Alcatraz there'd be no food supplies there. No way to make supply runs.
11/17/2014 3:07:43 PM
Houseboat on a big lake with floatilla of jet skis and smaller boats for making runs. Fishing (of course) + tons of homes to raid. Beats the hell out of camping in the woods with string and aluminum cans surrounding you. Would make for shitty TV show though.
11/17/2014 3:22:34 PM
^They'd run out of fuel pretty fast though.

what was the significance of that helicopter they saw in season 1 fly over atlanta
11/17/2014 7:43:44 PM
Merle was In that wasn't he?
11/18/2014 12:48:57 AM
he might have been in the episode, idk, i think they were leaving atlanta so he might have already been chained on the roof.are you saying the chopper was from woodbury and they rescued merle? i cant remember when he described how he survived.
11/18/2014 3:07:44 PM
I thought the chopper belonged to that small contingent of soldiers that the Governer & Co. Massacred in season 3? The chopper crashed then they took the pilot into Woodbury and found out where the rest of the soldiers were then killed him. I remember the Governer rode up in a car waving a white flag, got them to put their weapons down and then the rest of his crew shot them from the woodline. I thought that chopper was supposed to be the same one that Rick saw in the city in S1.
11/18/2014 3:28:24 PM
Jesus Christ that episode sucked
11/18/2014 3:36:38 PM
I thought it was fine.
11/18/2014 4:33:50 PM
I thought it sucked. Boring as fuck, and only thing revealed I had already figured out: they would meet black dude and infiltrate to save Beth. I still love WD but this was the worst episode ever, and last weeks was trash too.
11/18/2014 5:37:34 PM
Only thing I felt it revealed in that episode was that Carol actually was in the hospital because she was legit hurt, where as I presumed she was faking it to infiltrate the hospital.
11/18/2014 6:33:00 PM
So there have to be big reveals of information to you to make a show good? Sometimes shows are just about the process and storytelling.I enjoy seeing the visual story being told about the world around them as much as I'm interested in what they're going to do about Beth. In fact that's one reason I love post apocalyptic shows and movies, just to see their interpretations and visions about what would happen in that world.
11/19/2014 9:30:05 AM
I'm sorry, but to get hit by a car...that's just bullshit. There's ONE car making noise as it drives between buildings, in an entire city that is deathly quiet. There's no way in hell that Carol wouldn't hear that car coming from 1/4 mile away in an urban environment like that.
11/19/2014 1:13:46 PM
I'm usually good with the stupid stuff where you go, "no way that happens in real life.", but this episode was so full of them that I couldn't take it seriously for even a show about zombies
11/19/2014 1:32:32 PM
I think the Van must have been bit by a zombie cat
11/19/2014 1:34:04 PM
^^I know, right? I mean zombies? COME ON THAT AIN'T REAL.
