I live in Knoxville, this shit is driving me nuts. Luckily, I am downtown in a thick brick building, only downside is I am on the 7th floor, meaning lots of stairs to run to get to the basement.

Serious tornadoes all over the damn place already. I've got a pad from my bench and a blanket to take with me to shelter, my mattress is thick and heavy, and I'm alone lol.

I was only a few miles away from a weak tornado last April and that shit has me scared to fuck, this loft has big ass windows facing west so hopefully I'll be able to see it coming.

The storms do typically weaken between Nashville and Knoxville but I don't like how close that HIGH RISK line is to me. AND IM ALONE!

please, please, please be careful samwise!!!! and anyone else at risk

Knoxville has a line of a few storms coming this way but only severe tstorms right now

Fuck, east tn has been upgraded to a 9 on torcon. We were a 6 this morning.


Our station is checking out the Dickson tornado, judging by the doppler they think it's a large tornado on the ground, hope it's not like the alabama one.

the record for most tornadoes on the ground is 1600ish i think from 2006 or 2004... there has been a lot of speculation that this spring/summer may blow that out of the water.

I watched a video James Spann made today and he made a good point - there's no use comparing what may happen with previous record storms because you just never know for sure until after they're gone. So, basically, deal with it one storm at a time and compare AFTER instead of freaking everyone out and saying something like OMG IT'S APRIL 27TH ALL OVER AGAIN or something similar.
