12/8/2017 3:38:28 PM
IT'S A VERITABLE BLIZZARD I TELL YOU
12/8/2017 3:54:43 PM
Not looking forward to the drive home I am sure some morons out there have already fucked the traffic up
12/8/2017 3:56:57 PM
I hope this shit doesn't freeze on the roads tonight. I have to drive to Cary from Carrboro bright and early in the morning.
12/8/2017 3:57:58 PM
it should hover right above freezing tonight, just be careful on bridges and overpasses
12/8/2017 4:19:28 PM
your roads are questionable
12/8/2017 4:34:17 PM
you land roads are fine. be careful on your sky roads.
12/8/2017 4:40:43 PM
What about sea roads? I usually take one if by land and two if by sea.
12/8/2017 5:08:15 PM
if you are travelling on sea roads between cary and carrboro you have bigger problems than ice and snow
12/8/2017 5:16:53 PM
ttt,b
12/8/2017 6:16:54 PM
this is the exact same storm we've had for the past 2 years. Feb 2016, jan 2017 and now dec 2017. The line between snow and no snow is basically identical.
12/8/2017 9:11:14 PM
33 degree rain
12/8/2017 10:53:36 PM
snowing in durham again, security cam in raleigh looks like it might have some tiny snowflakes or sleet mixed in
12/9/2017 2:52:45 PM
fat flakes in Carrboro for the last 45 min or soslowing down now
12/9/2017 2:53:49 PM
adorable
12/9/2017 3:09:26 PM
12/9/2017 3:48:47 PM
I have knowledge of the weather 15 days from now
12/9/2017 4:46:19 PM
12/9/2017 6:30:55 PM
ha, I’m still in Raleigh. my girlfriend lives in Carrboro. I’m only a part-time resident.
12/9/2017 7:00:57 PM
black ice is possible tonight on sky roads and land roads
12/9/2017 7:08:14 PM
I was driving in Carrboro at 2 am. Can confirm, your sky roads are clear, but sea roads may be icy.
12/10/2017 8:18:09 AM
I don't even think I could date someone who lives in Raleigh. That's too far.
12/10/2017 12:38:20 PM
you know what really grinds my gears? dumbasses on facebook who routinely post on WRAL weather posts asking about forecasts on their street / in their town. CAN YOU NOT LOOK AT A FUCKING MAP SHITWADS?
12/12/2017 7:28:55 PM
^to be honest, they probably cant. I know lots of people that ive worked with in the past when i was younger that would be in the 50 year old range that get on facebook that cant find NC on a non labeled map of the US. Its quite sad how dumb the general population of this country is
12/12/2017 8:09:37 PM
That does bug the shit out of me as well and why I've made sure my kids know how to find where we live on the fucking map.The forecast will say "In the Triangle region, we are looking at...." with a big fucking map of central NC and the first comment will be, "I live in Apex, what should I expect?" People either don't actually click and read the story or are just spatially illiterate and can't find a location on the map. Its pretty fucking ridiculous.
12/13/2017 7:53:42 AM
some of the graphics they put with the little update blurbs are worthless as maps
12/13/2017 9:09:56 AM
it's laziness mostly. people would rather ask directly what to expect in Apex than to do even a minimal amount of critical thinking.
12/13/2017 11:37:17 AM
From Fishel's Twitter this morningRemember two weeks ago when we said the pattern was all wrong for a significant winter storm in Raleigh? Well you know what happened-next to nothing. Later this week whole different ballgame. Very intrigued. Words of caution: it’s early, and ice not snow could win the day.[Edited on December 23, 2017 at 10:20 AM. Reason : ...]
12/23/2017 10:20:03 AM
What he means is its still a week away and its going to rain just like it has for the last 5 years
12/23/2017 1:46:03 PM
Raleigh weather dome will be in full effect I'm sure
12/23/2017 9:43:40 PM
looks like the SE part of wake county might get some freezing mix
12/26/2017 9:57:09 AM
Their roads are fine.
12/26/2017 10:31:48 AM
yeah, DOT has brine trucks rolling
12/26/2017 10:32:49 AM
Aren't the models all saying the moisture has disappeared now? Gonna be cold and dry
12/26/2017 11:10:29 AM
^ yeah I use that left wing terrorist weather site and they're not showing any moisture until New year's Eve
12/26/2017 11:15:31 AM
Thoughts on the potential road conditions? Will they be okay? Asking for a friend
12/26/2017 12:14:26 PM
Oh we back!
12/26/2017 1:28:26 PM
Not surprised that all the snow is gone, we keep missing out on a decent snow. Maybe in 2018.
12/26/2017 1:33:14 PM
So what's the deal with the first week in January though? I saw early Euro models that showed some significant stuff coming that week.
12/26/2017 1:39:43 PM
really light precipitation in east/southeast wake county, roads are fine tho[Edited on December 27, 2017 at 9:31 AM. Reason : .]
12/27/2017 9:29:13 AM
^^as per usual, models have done changed and now theyre showing basically zero precip west of the coastal plain. It will be cold as fuck though
12/28/2017 2:43:00 AM
So there was plenty of moisture with no cold air and now there is no moisture with plenty of cold air. Typical.
