Real or Shopped ?

I'm pretty sure those cartoon character looking athletes did not get together to pose for that picture with the text arranged alongside them.So I'm gonna say shopped.
11/18/2008 6:19:19 PM
I was hoping they would have the new dashboard update at midnight ... no such luck.
11/19/2008 1:52:08 AM
I am downloading the New Xbox Experience right now. 5am
11/19/2008 5:05:24 AM
it is A LOT faster than the old dashboard... cooler presentation... I like it already!
11/19/2008 5:19:27 AM
watching movies on the streaming netflix program at the moment. This has good potential to replace my use of the windows/xbox media center transcoding and streaming of movies.. Netflix is going to be making a TON of money this year

11/19/2008 10:10:10 AM
loving the new interface!
11/19/2008 10:51:04 AM
ok this netflix thing is the absolute fucking shiti'm really bad at mailing back dvd's when i'm done and i hate watching movies on my computer, now i can watch all these classic movies that i've had queued up for over a yearthank you microsoft
11/19/2008 1:17:38 PM
I like the the new interface a lot, in fact enough that I got 1 hour early this morning to tinker around with it. However, I still wish the 360 interface had a mature feel, or a very technical feel if you will, that the PS3 interface has.
11/19/2008 1:24:01 PM
^^ok so tell me how it works...i got xbl live gold and 360....if i sign up for netflix today for whatever it is one movie a month and online rentals, can i immediately start watching movies?
11/19/2008 1:31:53 PM
all you need is the 1 at a time unlimited plan which is around 8 dollarsas soon as you have an account get on xbox live and go to the netflix window thing, it'll give you a code and you go to netflix.com/activate and enter the code and you're all setyou have two queues on netflix, one for mailing and one for watching instantlywhen you add a movie to your watch instantly queue it'll show up on your xbox in less than 10 seconds
11/19/2008 1:38:13 PM
yea this netflix thing is incredible, every season of the office instantly in HD just for starters and it only took about 5-6 seconds to bufferI was expecting only older movies but in the 2-3 minutes I've been playing around with it I've found several fairly recent movies that I've been meaning to watch, the 2nd national treasure for example
11/19/2008 2:42:43 PM
ok so after the update the picture on my tv is all fucked up when i am playing a game. Not on the dashboard but just when i am playing. Anyone else having this issue?
11/19/2008 3:14:42 PM
yeah but list all the hd movies, i heard theyre crap and the 12000 sd movies arent that great...anyone know of a master list?
11/19/2008 4:06:28 PM
Heroes season 3 is also on instant watch.
11/19/2008 4:07:34 PM
on a scale of 1-10 i'd say these avatars are an 8 in "lameness" and a 9.99 in "ripoff of the mii characters"
11/19/2008 4:10:54 PM
the Wii's still around?
11/19/2008 4:16:59 PM
So I was watching 30 Rock all day and it was great...then at about 2:00 every episode would start out great, then after two minutes or so, it would freeze (the first time it totally froze my xbox) and then reload at somewhere between cell phone and youtube quality....wtf? I'm not doing anything else aside from web browsing on this connection
11/19/2008 4:18:30 PM
^give it time. The service is probably getting hammered like crazy now because its 'new' to xbox users. I would expect a lot of bugs with the new interface and with netflix in the next few weeks.
11/19/2008 4:20:41 PM
11/19/2008 4:53:15 PM
We've been meaning to join netflix but never got around to it, this is what's inspired me to bite the bullet and part with my precious $9/month. Looking forward to getting home to download the update!^x5 I agree, and I think Nintendo tried to come after Microsoft, but Microsoft had some prior art and documentation to prove they had the idea and have been working on it since before the Wii release... something like that.
11/19/2008 5:01:12 PM
I'll gladly pay $8-$9 / month for unlimited movie downloads...I already have Live Gold and RR Turbo, why not spend an extra 10 bucks for this?
11/19/2008 5:16:38 PM
Yeah sounds sweetI spend 15-20 a month on those Time Warner on demand movies already
11/19/2008 5:26:51 PM
If you watch a movie or two a week this is well worth the money for convenience sake alone.
11/19/2008 5:39:39 PM
well that was fast...i signed up 5-10 minutes ago, and I'm already watching Next Friday
11/19/2008 5:48:28 PM
Anybody know if lost season 4 is on there yet???
11/19/2008 8:58:00 PM
no but Magnum PI seasons 1-8 are on there
11/19/2008 9:00:42 PM
11/19/2008 11:12:55 PM
^^gotta respect the short shorts and wicked awesome stache.
11/19/2008 11:50:00 PM
I'm still having a blast with Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. I'm hardly playing the game at all, just going around looking for new parts to build cool shit with. I just got finished building this batmobile lookalike that has giant monster truck tires and armor plating with machine guns and grenade launchers and when you press a button, wings pop out the side and you can fly, and when you press another button, a motorcycle (with machine guns) falls out the bottom so you can make a quick getaway. I feel like I'm 8 years old again.
11/20/2008 12:46:34 AM
OK, after playing around with the New Experience more, I will say its clearly superior to the UI of the PS3.
11/20/2008 9:58:25 AM
I didn't realize they had launched the new interface yet, I'll have to try that when i get home, in 11 hours.
11/20/2008 10:13:28 AM
Sweet. My mom has Netflix and I have her email/password, so I could probably hook up my 360 to her account We haven't had any trouble yet with them checking IPs or anything, considering I used it this summer for instant watch when I was in Louisiana...
11/20/2008 10:51:03 AM
yeah it is really good. I think xbox live is clearly just making gains at every turn.....it is well laid out, very very responsive and fast, fully featured, and innovative.Although they totally ripped off the Wii with the avatars, they look better and are implemented a bit better. I look forward to 'unlocking' new items, costumes and the such from playing certain games.
11/20/2008 11:16:10 AM
so i ordered teh $8.99/month netflix thing yesterday and here are a few comments- they have probably a couple hundred movies/tv shows you can watch in high definition on your 360 or computer...i wish there were more but there arent as of yet- there are plenty of non-HD movies that you can only physically rent (the disc itself) and cannot be streamed...mainly new big hit movies- the SD movies that you can get look pretty good- the fast forwarding and rewinding (5-10 seconds at a time) isnt bad at all as you can see a preview of the upcoming/previous scenes that changes often- the skipping forward or backwards (10-15 minutes at a time) isnt that bad either, although you'll probably have to wait 10 seconds for bufferingi'd highly recommend it if you already have Gold Live membership and a cable internet connection...i added about 50-60 movies to my streaming online queue just to watch whenever]
11/20/2008 12:19:24 PM
before now i think the streaming movies on netflix were just a little something extra to differentiate themselves from blockbuster online and other services but now that they've partnered with xbox live i think we will see the number of available movies to stream increase dramatically over the next yearuntil then there's still a bunch of tv shows and old movies to stream that i've never seen before
11/20/2008 1:27:09 PM
Yeah, I am hoping that by the end of this year that they will add a bunch more shit because of all of the xbox users signing up. Still well worth the membership imo.
11/20/2008 6:47:22 PM
This is how I see it. Both Xbox Marketplace AND iTunes had shitty selections when they first went live. Now that netflix instant watch will get some serious traffic increase they will see the same growth that the Marketplace and iTunes have seen in their digital libraries.Almost every new release is available for purchase on iTunes the day it comes out on bluray/dvd. and available for rent in HD usually a few weeks after. I'm certain netflix instant watch will reach this point as well now that they're partnered with xbox live.
11/20/2008 6:57:02 PM
problem:my roommate and i both have xbox live and netflix. he has already setup netflix through his account, but now when i go into mine, it just goes to his queue. anyway to fix this?
11/21/2008 11:07:47 AM
cancel one of the sbscriptions and save money?
11/21/2008 12:29:47 PM
do you need to have RR turbo to get HD movies? Is there an option to watch a movie in HD or STD, or does it do it automatically?
11/21/2008 3:42:50 PM
before you start playing a movie it checks your video quality (based on internet speed)...i think if you go to watch a HD movie and your internet bandwidth isnt fast enough, it will play it in SD...but when you're adding movies to your queue, there are HD movies to add, and SD movies...you dont just add one movie and then pick HD or SD...at least thats what i've gathered so faralso since I only planned on using Netflix for streaming but its the same price per month if you get DVDs too, i rented "Balls of Fury"...anybody seen it? sounds like a porno, but it actually sounds more like Kingpin meets Ping Pong w/ Christopher Walken[Edited on November 21, 2008 at 4:02 PM. Reason : .]
11/21/2008 3:58:54 PM
^ they've been showing balls of fury on the hbo channels a lot lately. it's a solid comedy. nothing too fantastic though
11/21/2008 4:16:29 PM
11/21/2008 7:03:24 PM
weak. anyway i can amend this and have my account be the one recognized? he has his own xbox
11/22/2008 12:55:27 AM
My instant queue on my 360 wont update. is there a certain number of queue items you can have at one time? anyone else having this problem?
