got to 49 last night. dueled a 49 guildmate warrior while I was still 48 and waxed him. Frost shocked and earthbind till he was down to 25% then melee'd the rest. Also entered my first WSG event and came out first on the leader board, I didnt know what I was doing just running around killing people. They tried to give me the flag cause I was a shaman, I got the flag, tried to run, and got ganked by a group of 6 Avatar clan. Overall a fun event.

I have discovered an amazing helper in Battlegounds. Engineering. Gnomish Engineering.I've had a Net-O-Matic gun in my bank for a long time, never really used it much in PvE. Dug that sucker out and it works great in a battlegound, expecially on those pesky warriors or rouges. Then, I finally made a Gnomish Death Ray. They don't sound all that great, because they hurt you in the process of using them. But, in a battleground where your life expectancy doesn't exist, it's ok if you take a little damage. Here's my story from tonight:So I've been hitting up AB for a few hours, getting pwned by the two or three horde pvp guilds that run AB on our server. The last battle I'm fighting in for the evening, we get lucky enough to get a pug. We grab the stables, the mill and the mine, and manage to hold them solid. As we're winding down the match, we're leading by about 100, and I'm defending the mine with two other people. Out of nowhere, comes a group of 3 horde. I get stuck dealing with the warlock in the group, and instantly get feared. I watch as my health bar gets hit kinda hard, but I'm lucky enough because the fear ran be over to where the warlock was sitting. Fear went away. Boom: Net gun, he's rooted. Boom, scatter shot, he's dazed for a sec. Gnomish Death Ray: crit for 3200, and down goes frazier. I had 38 health left, but damnit, we got through that one. Also the Hi-Explosives stun well, and can be useful if you throw them in a group. Good times. Off to crash. Gotta play around with more of this tomorrow.

11/21/2005 3:47:08 AM
ding 46 & ding 22 ....taking my damn time.
11/21/2005 3:58:30 AM
^^ early on there are no real talents. once you get 21 pts, youve got natures swiftness. get it. then, maybe go get some feral tallents, as its useful for grinding.

Rogues are why I like to use my felhound in battlegrounds.
11/21/2005 1:07:48 PM
Why?So it can scratch them to death?
11/21/2005 1:41:36 PM
Stealth Detection
11/21/2005 2:38:31 PM
lol.
11/21/2005 2:47:35 PM
as a hunter, i always get close to a battle and flare the nearest healer on my team, usually knocks one or two rogues out of stealth
11/21/2005 2:51:54 PM
Well, I would say that the Felhunter is the best pet for most BG's . . . unless you are an HK farmer. And Sayer, Engineering is mostly a PvP thing. The best way to go is to make tons of Iron Grenades. They are cheap as hell. The dmg is somewhat lacking, but the stun is ridiculous. Also, at like 250, go talk to the goblin transporter guy in Gadetztan for the Ultra-Safe Teleporter: Gadgetzstan schematic.

11/22/2005 1:57:40 AM
did WoW kill final fantasy 11 or did that game just suck anyway?
11/22/2005 2:07:01 AM
FFXI was just a totally different type of game. Heavily group based, little to no solo content, massively out of control economy.WoW brings MMORPGs to the common man/woman. Other than the fact that they are both fantasy based RPGs, there isn't that much that is similiar between the two IMHO.
11/22/2005 2:11:16 AM
yeah, two totally different games. WoW is for the casual gamer. FFXI is definatly not for those who just want to play a few hours a week. Personally, after playing FFXI for a year, I tried WoW, was bored within a month and went back to FFXI for more of a challenge. But that's just me.

What is your class?Pickup enchanting. You can disenchant anything in the game with 1/300 in enchanting. Run Uldaman, Maraudon, etc. by yourself or with a partner and farm the boss, reset the instance, etc. Then disenchant. You can pretty much make like 50g/hour if you're efficient.
11/22/2005 3:34:11 AM
^ yea...but there are easier ways to lvl enchanting. grab leather or linin, then craft 300 low level greens (ones that just need linen cloth or light leather, all can be purchased for next to nothing). then drop that proffesion and mail yourself all 300 items. then grab enchanting. DE all that.as far as how i got rich, ive said it over and over again. get auctioneer, and scan scan scan scan.buy only really really (50-99%) low priced items, and put them up for there normal buyouts. scan the recipe page many times a day. youll be rich. click scan...the go do something else...come back 10 mins later. log out. before bed...just do a quick scan, buy low and sell hi.[Edited on November 22, 2005 at 4:09 AM. 11/22/2005 4:01:41 AM
word. yea i have enchanting just for that purpose. and it has REALLY helped. but youre right...i need to start running instances and DE a bunch. scarlet monestary used to be good too. i think the nerfed it tho as far as ppl running it to make money
11/22/2005 4:03:29 AM
^yes they musta.... i remember a few months ago where this one sub boss gave 3 blues everytime. i come back a week ago and i find one green
11/22/2005 4:05:10 AM
^^auctioneerthats what i do... buy low sell highalso look for really cheap materials to craft with. then put the crafted items on saleits nice to spend 30 gold and see 70 to 100 in your mailbox the next day
