^^^i have a belkin wifi bridge/gaming adapter, although it's G, that i plug my ps3 into (it's one of the original 20gb ones w/ no wifi) so it can connect w/ my router. my dish box connects to it too. i haven't had any issues with it, just had to connect my netbook to it at first to get it logged into the router.

Just bought one yesterday along with Assassin's Creed II and the revamped God of War 1&2. Recommend me some games! Preferably something that I can't get on PC since my computer is still leaps and bounds better than a PS3. Any decent PRGs or something with killer graphics and a good story?

i got one on black friday. came with killzone 2 and infamous. also bought demon souls, which has become one of my all-time favorites.

Haven't been able to find a PS3 120GB slim in the stores. Any drawback to ordering it off of Amazon?

Seems like there aren't many problems with it running, which would be my only hesitance to ordering online versus at a brick and mortar.

The latter, dealing with returns/customer service. I've heard that Amazon is difficult to work with/get someone on the phone.

yeah, i've only bought small items from them so i can't say for sure.

have you tried some wal-marts out in the rural areas? The Garner wal-mart may have plenty sitting there.

chances of you having to return a PS3 because its faulty are very very slim...if something did go wrong it would be much later and you'd just send it to Sony regardless.

Now if you were worried about having to return it for other reasons then I can understand your hesitation with amazon.

Weird, Amazon is one of the most customer service oriented companies I've ever dealt with. There's a "call me" button in the help section of their site, you can have a live person on the line in seconds.

Yeah, it was more in the past that I've heard they're reluctant to give a number to actually call in.

I ordered the PS3 last night for $299, no tax and no shipping. Saves me the hassle of going to the stores and hunting for it.

Yup, that's what I've got now. It's great, 1 dvd at a time and unlimited streaming.

Honestly, I'd pay that just for the streaming catalog that they have. I'd be willing to pay it for Hulu too if they'd get a good PS3 app.

I think this will be the deciding game on whether I get a PS3 or not.

^I'm not sure...haven't played around with it enough but if I were to guess, I'd say its the bluray movie through Bluray Live. Because when I hit 'stop' in the App it warned me that stopping the movie will make the app lose connection with the PS3.

yes..i have my PS3 running HDMI to the receiver, then HDMI to the TV. Works like a champ..

the only thing I use optical for is the Wii b/c it doesn't have HDMI support
