You realize you're gatekeeping the hell out of comedy with a ton of your statements, right?
10/4/2022 4:13:33 PM
kudos for using a buzzword[Edited on October 4, 2022 at 4:22 PM. Reason : .]
10/4/2022 4:20:47 PM
Cheers man, you have a good one.
10/4/2022 4:21:58 PM
care to explain how I’m gatekeeping?
10/4/2022 4:23:03 PM
the last Judd Apatow movie I saw was The Bubble, and it was dogshit
10/4/2022 5:04:11 PM
Amsterdam tried way too damn hard
10/11/2022 7:48:08 PM
Looks to me like it is trying to be another Knives Out?
10/11/2022 10:37:55 PM
not really it tried to be a few different things, and none of them really worked
10/11/2022 11:21:08 PM
The trailer never looked enticing. Seemed like a hodgepodge of actors I like in a movie that tried way too hard
10/11/2022 11:54:35 PM
Watched elvis on a flight. It was ok, about 20-30 minutes too long
10/13/2022 10:06:07 PM
NTTAWWT
10/13/2022 10:17:59 PM
I saw Diggstown (1992) for the first time last night. It's a pretty good movie.
10/16/2022 5:19:03 PM
Finally watched Nope last night. It was terrible IMO
10/17/2022 4:54:31 PM
Have you like Peele's other movies?(i just watched the new Candyman he did, and thought it was pretty good)
10/17/2022 5:02:52 PM
I liked Get Out and Us. I haven't seen Nope, and I didn't realize he directed the new Candyman.
10/17/2022 5:09:49 PM
he didn’t direct the new Candyman, he was a producer on it everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I have a hard time seeing how anyone could think Nope was terrible [Edited on October 17, 2022 at 6:29 PM. Reason : .]
10/17/2022 6:28:04 PM
I didn't think Us was great, but that's just me
10/17/2022 7:56:19 PM
I didn’t, eitherNope ruled, though
10/17/2022 8:15:07 PM
Confess Fletch is great
11/3/2022 10:06:00 PM
Barbarian is wild
11/4/2022 10:32:01 PM
I liked barbarian, but thought it was a little over hyped. Just a solid watch, but nothing ground breaking. But I guess even decent, well made movie is getting harder to come by these days.
11/4/2022 11:24:09 PM
Amen brother
11/5/2022 12:47:01 AM
Amsterdam isn't doing it for me.And Nope was no Get Out, but it's also really good.
11/14/2022 9:34:52 PM
Thought NOPE was terrible. Maybe I missed something..
11/14/2022 9:42:30 PM
Why did you find it terrible?
11/16/2022 10:55:10 PM
The Banshees of Inisherin was goodcould’ve use subtitles at times, tho
11/17/2022 1:58:34 AM
Ugh. Smile.**Spoilers*I wanted to like it. It dealt with some heavy themes. But in the last 20 seconds of the film, I ended up so disappointed. I was really thinking the cycle would be broken, but no, the movie ended the exact same way it began.

^^just watched Smile myself. It had a very good buzz so was looking forward to watching it. I thought it was pretty well made and shot, but I found it to be pretty disappointing. It was pretty much just a slightly altered premise from The Ring, but not as creepy or well done. Might have been better as a shorter segment in an anthology movie/show
11/18/2022 10:14:43 PM
I enjoyed Barbarian as well. Went into it totally blind. Well I had watched the trailer but the trailer doesn't give away too much imo.]
11/19/2022 2:16:37 AM
Watch it again if you get your sight back, it's even better that way
11/19/2022 10:10:15 AM
Black Adam was pretty fun
11/28/2022 3:17:37 AM
I really enjoyed The Menu
11/30/2022 4:41:48 PM
On the topic of Barbarian [spoilers below]:Can we get past this trope of the "monster" being a tall/thin/super strong mutated old woman? I feel like this has shown up a lot in recent horror movies. That being said, I did like the way the movie went overall. I kept expecting Bill Skaarsgard to be some kind of psycho and it would just end up being him stalking the main woman the whole time. Started to get annoyed at the hype behind it thinking that would be an overdone premise, but glad it completely changed directions and he ended up actually being a completely normal guy.

^when he was sleeping on the couch the first night, was he having some unrelated bad dream / health issue, or was 'the mother' supposedly causing whatever was going on with him?
12/2/2022 3:39:56 PM
Nope was very weird but I enjoyed it
12/3/2022 10:36:03 PM
I also watched Nope today. I didn’t love it.
12/3/2022 11:50:44 PM
12/4/2022 10:44:47 PM
really enjoyed Belfast!
12/5/2022 9:41:20 AM
Poker Face is about as bad as the terrible reviews it's gotten. Visually it looks ok but it was not a very good movie.
12/6/2022 1:52:13 AM
I was really looking forward to it, with the actors and director I didn't think it could be bad.
12/6/2022 8:46:23 AM
this is the first I’ve ever heard anyone make that claim that Russell Crowe is a good director
12/6/2022 10:03:35 AM
Ohhhhh I thought we were talking about the TV Show by Rain Johnson.
12/6/2022 10:26:16 AM
First time ive heard of either
12/6/2022 11:01:49 AM
I enjoyed The Fabelmans
12/7/2022 12:43:11 AM
Lady gaga as harley quinn in sequel to joker. Fyi
12/10/2022 5:29:44 PM
I thought Bodies Bodies Bodies was a comedy but it's pretty much a straight ahead thriller and fairly entertaining
12/10/2022 9:12:50 PM
I just watched violent night expecting full-on camp and violenceDefinitely violence (although they worked up to it). Did their best to actually tell a story and make it somewhat believable while still delivering on the campy one-liners.100% enjoyed. Also surprisingly looking forward to cocaine bear (and it does appear to be 100% campy based on the trailer).
12/11/2022 9:43:21 PM
Where did you see Violent night?
