I build and upgrade every single thing before I advance my TH.


My Elixer has pretty much been maxed out (5.8M-6M) for the past 2-3 weeks and I don't get attacked as quickly as I used to when my defenses were much weaker. sometimes I"ll leave my phone unattended and think, "crap! It timed out!" only to discover no one attacked me in the last 10-15 minutes i was inactive. It's a good feeling.

With that said. There's definitely an advantage to upgrading everything you can before you advance TH level. Your friend may surprise a few people, but tbh, it wouldn't phase me one bit. Perhaps that's because I expect the worst and don't attack on impulse? idk.

While tempting to go into TH9, I'm definitely going to finish off my walls and research. I've got at least 41 days left of research to conduct. That should give me ample time to finish most of my walls to the black skull lvl 8.

Intimidation helps prevent attacks. Rushing to a higher TH not only hurts you from attacking other people and the loot penalty from attacking lower TH's, but also hurts you on the defensive as strong TH's below you easily raid your stash without penalty.

Im on the fence on TH 9 upgrade, once you max out your general defenses at th8, you can still get totally walked by TH 9 players because you just don't have the defensie power.

Only concern I would have is the ability to raid, but raiding down to th8 isnt that big of a resource hit... Also the queen is like a cheat code.

being TH9 and raiding a TH8 is only a 10% penalty. But at TH8, I had a 350k gold 300k elixir TH7 base I hit earlier. That would be like 165k/155k or something if you were TH9.

Welp, my clan had a mutiny. We had a solid 45 players that were active in wars, and we still had a hell of a winning streak going. But after a dude pissed away his attacks in several wars, he was booted. The clan was dominated by NC people, but there was a considerable portion of people from LA (roughly 15). Apparently, they didn't take the booting of their friend well, and since we kept most regulars as co-leaders, there was an obvious vulnerability. One of them exploited it. All of the people from LA screwed up their war bases. One of them initiated a war, and they all bailed and went to a new clan once it found an opponent. They also made an offensive description before leaving, screenshot it and reported it, got our leader and all co-leaders banned for a day over it.

Luckily, our opponents thought we gave up the war early and just went with loot attacks. In the 4 or 5 hours we had after the ban lifted, we managed to win the war by 5 stars. The head mutineer had become a buddy of mine before this, and I told him I wanted to join the new clan. Grabbed screenshots of the shit-talking, and the dumbasses openly talked about the stuff they did. They started writing personal attacks in their description. They really screwed themselves, because we had screenshots of everything.

We got 5 or 6 of them banned after they initiated their first war, and they only had 15 in the war. Several of the mutineers have already left the new clan.

What a bunch of dipshits.

I'm the leader of my clan and if someone joins with crummy troops and defenses, then I have them leave for war search and come back after we have a matchup.

I can't stand high THs with crappy everything else! I love three-starring them when attacking, though.

they can subconsciously intimidate would-be raiders. and they are effective if someone doesn't bring enough wb's with a ground attack.

It's pretty cool. The two main things you can do are:

- automate "Nexting" until a base comes up that meets the criteria you want
- practice offline attacks against people that don't count. good for planning revenge.

I really like the new opt-in/opt-out feature for wars. Also, the update made healers and giants a viable army again, even for higher level raids against TH9s and TH10s.

clan perks are gonna be cool. anybody at level 2 yet and know how many points it takes to get to level 3? i'm expecting a somewhat significant "cost" in clan points as the levels get higher. it would have to be.

Seriously struggling to get to Clan level 2.. we are in a huuuuge slump. The opt in/out feature is awesome, though, and I thought it would help our clan wars but that hasn't been the case.

We won our first war after the update and got max points -- 210/210 for a 40 vs. 40 war. So it'll take us at least two more wars to get to level 2. We're up against a tough group this war, and I doubt we will win.

I'll take a stab at attacking #15. i'm town hall and can take an army of size 150. i can do level 3 everything plus level 1 healer. i was thinking a combination of giants + healers. any suggestions?

The lone air defense is near the outside of the base, so if you can take it out with giants your healer should be safe. Of course unlike Puppet's attack, you want to clear the clan castle first. And there is a valk in there who has high health. Somebody can give you a dragon in your CC to help.

use a couple barbs or archers to distract it then surround it with a few wizards. valks are a pain in the ass though, very nice for clan castle defense.
