The game would have to be built for that, and that would probably be very hard, so I doubt it.

11/21/2013 7:52:20 PM

11/21/2013 8:15:43 PM
I'm going to go check out wal-mart around 11. It's a pretty small town but wal-mart is the only place that's gonna be selling them, so I don't know what the deal is gonna be.
11/21/2013 8:43:25 PM
Friend me tomorrow. Will be playing CoD and B4Tag: carzin
11/21/2013 9:24:28 PM
Mine is on the way.I went by gamestop at 5 today, people were outside inline waiting already
11/21/2013 9:45:52 PM
just got the email its on its way from Virginia
11/21/2013 10:05:11 PM
Well Wal-Mart was a waste of time.Called the electronics dept earlier, it rings for 3 minutes and of course it's some old bitch from photography who picks up. I'm like "How many xboxes are available that haven't been preordered?" and she says "Oh we have a bunch of those but we will probably sell out fast"So I get there about 10:40 and there is no line or anything, and the dude who actually knows what he's talking about says that every single one they have is already reserved. WTF kind of cracker jack wal-mart is this?
11/21/2013 11:05:41 PM
you should have dont the 6pm gamestop. You are so fucked now, try gamestop or bestbuy. The bestbuy near me has a line around the building, its insane.
11/21/2013 11:27:53 PM
I don't have either of those.I'll just wait until it's available on Amazon, hopefully sometime mid December they start popping up.
11/22/2013 12:00:39 AM
got one at midnight. tv integration is pretty cool. set everything up with twc. you can use the regular remote to control your dvr.anyone know if games will continue to download even when the system is off? i assume it does, i am not going to sit here for hours while a 40 GB game is downloading.
11/22/2013 2:53:06 AM
I believe you can play the game while it is downloading
11/22/2013 7:17:54 AM
You can, but I played NBA 2k and fifa, and they only let you basically play a demo around 50% completed while the rest downloaded. So it's not like you can play the full game
11/22/2013 7:24:40 AM
^ Were you downloading digital purchase of the game or installing from disc?
11/22/2013 8:14:58 AM
disc - 2k let you play heat/spurs over and over until it was complete. fifa let you play barcelona/real madrid until it was finished.i am digitally downloading cod and its around 15% now
11/22/2013 8:32:33 AM
How long did the disc install take?
11/22/2013 8:36:53 AM
fifa didnt take that long because its only around 10 gigs. it was complete before i finished the "demo" game.they put 2k in at the best buy i was at for the midnight release so i'm not sure how long it took.
11/22/2013 8:41:25 AM
just threw in battlefield (disc) because cod was taking forever, hoping it could download both at the same time. it stopped cod and is installing battlefield. you could start playing the campaign when the full game is only at about 20%. obviously it is downloading a lot faster off the disc than digitally. i wish it could download both at the same time though.i had cod downloading for almost 2 hrs and it was only to about 23% and you couldnt play it yet.
11/22/2013 9:26:06 AM
Cod :barf: don't poison a x1 with that
11/22/2013 9:40:26 AM
Well, the Xbone has cost me another 2500. It does not support 1080i, and my 65 inch rear projection HDTV doesn't support 720p. At the parking lot ready to buy another set. Considering the 80 inches
11/22/2013 9:43:11 AM
^^it was only $10 with the upgrade program.
11/22/2013 9:48:01 AM
You should wait until around Superbowl if you're gonna buy a ginormous TV. I have stop being cheap and upgrade to Comcast HD
11/22/2013 10:06:53 AM
dang shame that new console/game launches are now get-it-and-wait processes. back in my day when you had to walk 2 miles both ways uphill in the snow to get a new xbox, you could plug it in and play a new game.
11/22/2013 11:16:07 AM
daddy is all hooked up and downloading the initial update
11/22/2013 6:31:20 PM
Some initial impressions while I'm waiting for games to download and install:- Quick painless setup, a good number of options in the settings and what not.- Headset looks good but isn't super adjustable. Like that the controls are back by the base of the controller- Sticks on the controller are looser but not Dual Shock loose. Thumbpads feel smaller but have a rougher texture that will probably last longer. Lighter feeling than 360.- IR blaster works much better than I expected never had anything where it missed.- Voice commands are hit and miss. I think the key is to not try to do everything with them. If you have a controller in your hand use that. Voice commands will be handy for switching or while doing other things.- Not sure I'm ready to make this my TV device just yet. I've noticed a little bit of distortion on a few channels here an there and every now and again while changing channels or using the cable box menus there is either a freeze of the picture momentarily or the sound will drop out suddenly. Hopefully this will be addressed in some patching.- That said, it is really nice to have everything available right then while the tv is going, and being able to snap the tv to the side while doing things.

how do you play videos from your computer? I get that they killed the system video player so you cant play videos from a NAS device, but how do you play them from you computer?
11/22/2013 9:29:30 PM
nevermind, i had to do the following:Open the Win 8 metro video appPlay a videoSelect Devices -> Play -> Xbox Videovideo will start playing on your xbox one (you need the video app installed)after doing that the "Play To -> Xbox Video" option became available when right clicking on a video file on the desktop side (also, in windows media player you have to allow streaming to the xbox one like you did with the xbox 360)Since you can't initiate the stream from the Xbox One there is no way to play a .mkv file. At least on the 360 you could transcode if you wanted, but now you don't have that option. I hope someone figures out a solution to play .mkv files.
11/22/2013 9:45:03 PM
^I assume everything has to be on the same network?
11/23/2013 7:10:34 AM
So, make sure you go into your settings for video and turn up the settings. I found they were being really conservative on the color density and some other setting, and once I upped them, the picture quality really went up (and the blacks got super black).I am really impressed with this box.
11/23/2013 12:29:37 PM
How bad is the input lag for Battlefield 4? BF3 console players that know what I am talking about... Is it an issue?
11/23/2013 12:44:36 PM
Looks like micro-transactions are gonna be heavily pushed in this generation. Forza 5 is selling DLC on day 1, every major title has some form of season pass etc.
11/23/2013 1:20:18 PM
duh
11/23/2013 1:41:39 PM
not a duh, its a retarded strategy. I was at gamestop talking to the worker, guy says "I think they made call of duty bad on purpose so you have to buy the dlc to make it fun" IMO I think its a BS strategy, and if you are gonna do it like that, charge less for the game and then sell me stuff.
11/23/2013 1:46:33 PM
perhaps you're new to the past half decade or something
11/23/2013 2:07:52 PM
is there a list of gamertags for twwers that have xbone? please add me. i have bf4 and codgamertag carzin
11/23/2013 2:15:00 PM
No not at all, but its never been to this extreme. A game like Ryse does not need a season pass or a review embargo that last until all pre-orders have shipped so people cant cancel them...Good thing I cancelled mine early.
11/23/2013 2:16:08 PM
11/23/2013 4:04:43 PM
One word that killed the ps4SNAP
11/23/2013 11:09:56 PM
i hope they tested this with it being on a lot more than the 360. i'm using it for my cable and it is going to be on a lot more than if i was just using it to play games. it does seem to run pretty cool while just watching tv and i imagine it doesn't take much processing power to just run the cable box.
11/24/2013 9:07:42 AM
We have 45 days from purchase to buy a extended 3 year warranty from microsoft. I'm probably gonna go ahead and get the warranty given my past experiences with xbox's. I went through 5 360's before I got one that didn't crap out (all though it red rings every blue moon). My original xbox power plug melted right out of the case. Its $60 for three years, I havent read the specifics to see if its actually worth it.
11/24/2013 9:37:44 AM
best buy was offering an extended warranty for $100, not sure how long it was for though. probably 3 years, but it covered all damage, including accidental. $60 for 3 years doesnt seem that bad, but it probably just extends the original warranty for 3 years.
11/24/2013 9:40:40 AM
Looks like its really only 2 years, we already have a 1 year warranty from the factory. This system was designed as always on, I would hope they learned from the 360. I'm a little disappointed that the ESPN app only plays highlights right now. I was looking forward to watching football beside Battlefield.
11/24/2013 9:51:38 AM
I'm not using it as a tv box. When I tried it the picture quality seemed diminished.
11/24/2013 11:26:12 AM
the ESPN app does have watchESPN. if you go to the settings there is an area to activate it.anyone tried the nfl app?
11/24/2013 1:26:28 PM
11/24/2013 1:46:20 PM
I have a Day One edition xbox I havent even taken out of the amazon box yet. Somebody give me a reason to set it up.
11/24/2013 7:31:00 PM
Can't. There's not a single launch title worth the price of admission. Maybe if you wanted to skype someone else that also has an Xbone. Also, they fucked up the Netflix app for the 360 version. Completely removed gesture control and now I have to hit "play now" to get into it from the dashboard. Thanks xbone!
11/24/2013 7:50:04 PM
^do you have one? i really thought the voice controls would be a gimmick and kinda lame. but now i am wishing more and more stuff had voice controls. it really is something you have to use to appreciate.its great to change the channel, start games, turn it on, control the volume, etc...i have FIFA, Battlefield, Forza, and COD. i'd say these are pretty good games that are definitely upgrades over last gen. they will at least tide me over until titanfall and others.[Edited on November 24, 2013 at 8:47 PM. The kinect is making me wish they had stuck with the digital game library stuff. It would be sweet to not have to get up to change disc. "Xbox play forza"I guess I'll start buying digital rights to some games (After I redbox test them).
