Damn, did anyone watch the dude win over $110k last night? Did the other contestants answer any of the questions right?

Fastest to 1 Million in just 14 shows.

Man he is a buzzsaw 97% correct answer rate.

He isn't as likable as Buzzy and Austin, but he isn't as douchy as Ken and Arthur were.

he is truly amazing to watch. he seems very likable to me. arthur seemed douchey, ken didnt though to me. buzzy and austin were also fun to watch.

to clarify Ken wasn't a douche during his original run, he became a douche over time especially on social media. Thats why I am glad Brad continually cleans his clock. Would be interesting to see a Brad versus James showdown.

Arthur's attitude was the reason he wasn't invited to the team challenge this season.

If I was this guy's opponent, I'd buzz in for each answer, then just stall as long as I could, just to keep him from finishing the board.

Some problems with that approach...

1) He seems to be unbeatable on the buzzer
2) You would have 0% chance of winning
3) Not sure why sacrificing your chance of winning is worth it in trying to limit his total win $.

^^ He will lose at some point, but witnessing the degree in which he's currently dominating his competition makes it hard to imagine how it will happen.

Jeopardy implemented some changes to help the competition during Jennings' run so that will probably happen too here at some point. Seems like bullshit though, and probably self-defeating in terms of ratings.

He just seems really, really good at buzzing in.

For me he's not very entertaining. No quips and he looks like he's never smiled before in his life every time he tries.

^ The buzzing plays a role, but he's also crazy smart. Not many holes in his knowledge base.

Buzzing is first is one thing, but then answering 96% correct is another.

[Edited on April 27, 2019 at 11:22 AM. Reason : Sure he's no Austin but for me breaking all these records etc is very entertaining]

Quote :
""Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek says his doctors say he's in "near remission" of advanced pancreatic cancer and his response to the treatment is "kind of mind-boggling."

The 78-year-old TV personality tells People magazine he's responding very well to chemotherapy and the doctors have told him "they hadn't seen this kind of positive results in their memory." Trebek says some of the tumors have shrunk by more than 50%."

It looked like he bet enough that if he got it wrong he would still beat the third place guy. And the other contestant had enough that she could win if she got it right even if he bet it all

not everyone’s internet is the same and it’s dumb to assume that if you’ve seen something, everyone has also seen it

it’s the exact reason people who post spoilers are derided for being what they are, selfish assholes

It's not like it was just on some random Twitter account or TV spoiler subreddit or something. It was on the front page of the sports illustrated website among other things, as well as the guys own Twitter account.

Are not just a couple oddball sites one visits in their day of internetting. That's major media bucko!
