Sub 100 stock price at the end of the week?

that seems pretty unlikely]
2/9/2016 5:12:27 PM
Even at it's current level it's still overvalued like crazy.

Maybe Elon will promise free Mars trips with the purchase of any qualifying Tesla car and stem the bleeding.I'm heavily bearish and put my money where my mouth is.[Edited on February 10, 2016 at 12:14 PM. Reason : a]

Hope you have better luck than me I was bearish on Tesla with puts and well... they expired worthless haha
2/10/2016 12:40:36 PM
I've done it 3 previous times. I had bad luck with it in 2014, but have had much more success this year.
2/10/2016 12:56:48 PM
replenished my tank on a free charging station in downtown garage today while I ate Cafe Luna lunch. Love this car.

Last time people were waiting in line to preorder a car that won't be out for at least 1.5 years?
3/31/2016 8:55:13 PM
Reserved a 3 - we'll see if I go through with it
3/31/2016 10:35:01 PM
I just reserved one too. Did you get any sort of confirmation email? I haven't yet.
4/1/2016 12:38:07 AM
That grill-less front immediately brings to mind the image of Neo when Agent Smith sealed his mouth shut by joining together his lips so his mouth went away... PUT A GRILL ON THAT THING. The original car has a gorgeous grill, then the Model X reduced it to an awkward slit, and now, HOLY AWKWARDNESS!!!!
4/1/2016 5:12:48 AM
Why would you need a grille on an electric vehicle?
4/1/2016 7:59:44 AM
Aesthetics.Because cars have come with grills till today. Even if a car doesn't need one, it still looks better and more "normal" with one. Model S has one, and it actually looks amazing compared to the front of Model X, let alone this new one.
4/1/2016 8:09:07 AM
I'm sure people thought steam wagons looked funny without the horses in front, too.
4/1/2016 8:16:37 AM
i like the front, but i hope they made that paint a lot tougher than normal
4/1/2016 8:33:37 AM
I think it is a beautiful car, but I still don't think the car is going to be $35k starting MSRP. I'll believe it when I see it. I also don't think anyone in North Carolina will see the car until, at best, near the end of 2018.
4/1/2016 9:37:14 AM
^ agreed - or at least nobody will want / order the base 35k model - I think 50 before tax incentives is more reasonableWith 130k preorders though the 200k limit for tax deductions will definitely be hit
4/1/2016 9:55:52 AM
Now up to 180M. Pretty crazy. For those that pre-ordered... Would you mind looking at your contract and see if your deposit is 'in escrow'. I am wondering if they are going to leverage the pre-order money as operating income.
4/1/2016 2:14:36 PM
I think you mean 180K.

or the upgraded versions:Tesla Model 3STesla Model Air
4/3/2016 2:29:20 AM
The Model X pro will be bigger than the X, and then a year later they will make a smaller version of the Model X Pro that is the same size as the X
4/3/2016 10:07:08 AM
I reserved two. Waiting in line was ..... an experience.
4/11/2016 10:56:18 PM
Smart...so when one's battery dies you'll have another!
4/11/2016 11:41:55 PM
...or due to the insanely long reservation list the resale value will make buying the 2nd and selling it a no-brainer
4/11/2016 11:43:40 PM
^Yeah exactly. This will be a very unlikely scenario where you drive the car (or two in this case) off the lot and the value goes up.
4/11/2016 11:44:18 PM
^not really if you take into account any tax incentives/credits.
4/12/2016 12:42:57 PM
Sigh, Model S now has the same upturned lip front like a mudskipper, with [almost] no grill.Has a tiny slit of a grill like on the X, which still looks way better than the 3's no grill at all. By changing the S's front, they want to have a corporate design language, obviously. Then why not a slit on the 3's front?
4/12/2016 1:41:51 PM
^^What do you mean? For example my coworker pre-ordered one and there's a $6k credit in Colorado. Assuming it's still around when he gets his car (it might not be) he'd pay less than the $35k price. If he wanted to resell it you don't think he'd get more than what he paid for it?
4/12/2016 2:23:11 PM
^^I actually kind of dig the T-1000 esque no-grill front. Not a big fan of fake fascia anyway. Only downside is that area is gonna get rock-chipped to shit.

I see the recalls have begun even though they say its not their fault but a suppliers.
4/13/2016 8:39:22 AM
Did Tesla end yet?
4/13/2016 10:33:17 PM
I like the no-grill too.I'm not sure how the "buy two" would work out though, they're not shipping them FCFS i thought, so depending where youre seeded, you could just break even.not to mention if there's too much of a premium, youre in the price range of paying a little more for an S. Seems like too big of a gamble...[Edited on April 14, 2016 at 12:03 AM. Reason : ]

I like, and can understand, the designs of EVs to be grill free. However, you cannot establish the foundation of your design language (Model S) with a grill, only to slightly modify it for the X and 3 with no grill. Looks like something is missing, and the front just looks too "blank".There are plenty of great looking cars of the past that looked great without any sort of grill. Decades worth of air-cooled 911's come to mind, for instance.

Too bad it can only do an acceleration run like that once or twice.Unfortunately it can't even manage to do a single hot lap around a race track without going into limp mode to preserve it's battery pack.
