Townley isn't the worst. But he really is just wasting his father's money. He was alright in the truck series, which is really just a slight step above ARCA, and they need to truck count in that series. But he failed to impress in the nationwide series, and I can't believe he was going to get a chance in the cup series.

Going to the Bristol night race. Any recommendations on camping? I'm pretty sure all of the ones run by BMS are booked. There are countless others...but any recommendations are appreciated.

No caution with oil all the way around the track. Amazing track officials.
8/12/2012 3:43:24 PM
I too would have like to see the last lap end under caution.[Edited on August 12, 2012 at 3:58 PM. Reason : And all the drivers said they couldn't see the oil, so how do you call a caution???]
8/12/2012 3:56:01 PM
i thought the last lap was awesome
8/12/2012 4:01:38 PM
its that kind of racing that made the sport popular. Not this call a caution for nothing so the race can end at 55 mph. Nobody really understood what was going on until it was too late anyways.
8/12/2012 5:45:52 PM
caution? hell they should put oil down every race. that was the best last lap at a road course i can remember.
8/13/2012 5:42:30 AM
Even though Gordon spun out, I still enjoyed the race. It was nice to see Brad react the way he did about how the race ended. Most exciting road race I have ever watched.
8/13/2012 9:18:55 AM
This is the only NASCAR event I really enjoy watching.
8/25/2012 8:40:23 PM
i wonder if tony will get fined for throwing his helmet. personally i think they should let it slide. france said he wanted more "wow" moments. well he got one
8/26/2012 11:15:26 AM
they didnt fine todd bodine for the same thing at pocono in the truck race so i doubt they do

the regular season champ should get the first pit stall for the last 10 races imo
9/10/2012 12:32:47 PM
Lol Kurt Busch
10/7/2012 4:00:44 PM
Holy shit.
10/7/2012 5:22:34 PM
This "sport" is a complete joke right now with bullshit like the finish today. That is embarrassing.
10/7/2012 5:23:47 PM
why, what happened?
10/7/2012 5:30:24 PM
this has become the norm for 'dega
10/7/2012 5:43:08 PM
They had decent racing about a year ago at these tracks, but decided to listen to the "fans" that wanted more pack racing (ie, they wanted to see more wrecks). Why dont they just start a touring demolition derby series and be done with it. How does anyone come away from that thinking "Wow, that was fantastic!"
10/7/2012 6:05:49 PM
10/7/2012 7:16:47 PM
^^ is correctrunning the damn road course at a plate track would be better than crashing 80% of the field. you should earn your finishing spot not have it handed to you because you got lucky and missed the wrecksJr's opinion:
10/8/2012 6:52:30 AM
Junior out for next 2 races due to concussion suffered in the Talladega wreck Sunday.on a side note, you can probably get tickets for those 2 races pretty cheap now[Edited on October 11, 2012 at 11:12 AM. Reason : /]
10/11/2012 11:11:10 AM
I'm more interested now. I'm curious to see what Smith can do with a top dollar ride, he timed getting shitcanned by Furniture Row perfectly.
10/11/2012 11:35:36 AM
Dale Sr would have still raced. not saying its a good idea or anything
10/11/2012 11:39:13 AM
^ I think he did once at Darlington.
10/11/2012 12:19:44 PM
No Jr. Is this race still worth going too.
10/12/2012 1:19:38 PM
Per Jayski, this past weekend's race was the first without a Tarheel in it since 1961.
10/15/2012 8:23:52 AM
Let em fight dammit.
11/11/2012 6:15:37 PM
its only about the third time this year bowyer has ruined gordon's race so i cant blame him one bit. just shouldnt have done it right near brad, but other then that..i think it was a long time coming for the #15
11/11/2012 6:18:46 PM
^ yep, came in here to post that. Payback is a bitch
11/11/2012 6:24:56 PM
Jeff Gordon is a little bitch. I wish he was at the bottom of that pile and not one of his crew members.
11/11/2012 6:57:20 PM
Jeff Gordon is a piece of shit. If Jeff had never touched a bumper to another driver before and was fucking perfect and Clint was jealous of Jeff's success and was wrecking Jeff like a sexually frustrated 40 year old virgin, then maybe Jeff's actions might have been warranted. But Jeff isn't perfect, Jeff has hit people before and Jeff has raced people before. He just has a problem when people race him. Jeff's career is on the decline and he's frustrated. He's now just showing how much of an arrogant piece of shit he has always been.
11/11/2012 6:58:39 PM
What happened?
11/11/2012 7:00:10 PM
Gordon finally paid Bowyer back. Screw Bowyer, he had it coming. See Martinsville where Bowyer took out the top of the field near end of race.
11/11/2012 7:09:34 PM
100% right about JG24's career being in decline... LOL @ Joey Lagano's tweet
11/11/2012 7:11:13 PM
Then Gordon should have gotten him then. Not 7 months later, retard.
11/11/2012 7:12:20 PM
What happened was that Bowyer tapped Gordon and probably cut down a rear tire... Gordon tried to tap Bowyer back and wound up putting himself in the wall. So he waited on the track after being black flagged and intentionally wrecked Bowyer. Afterwards, the Bowyer crew went after Gordon and his crew. Bowyer got out of his car and went after Gordon in the garage area, but it was just shouting and yelling at that point.Gordon will get the worst of any NASCAR penalties, but Gordon caused more damage by eliminating mathematically any super slim chance the Bowyer team had at the championship.
11/11/2012 7:17:51 PM
how about burton spinning out danacash on purpose trying to get a caution cause harvick was about out of fuel and nascar saying fuck it and lets it go green through a shit load of oil in 4 and the clusterfuck that followed [/runonsentence]
11/11/2012 7:21:16 PM
I figured it was just Danica wrecking again because she can't drive for shit, but the replay sure does look like Burton hit her on purpose.
11/11/2012 7:35:03 PM
lol at gordon's career being in decline. i guess that means dale jr's career never was?he's not dominant anymore, but who is besides the 48?[Edited on November 11, 2012 at 7:44 PM. Reason : .]

^^^^ Brad Keslowski, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, ect.

none of those guys you listed have managed to put together multiple good seasons ever[Edited on November 11, 2012 at 10:09 PM. Reason : 0 titles between them all. hell didnt kahne finish like 20+ in pts 2 yrs ago? ]
11/11/2012 10:08:38 PM
You can say Gordon's career is in decline all you want. But until someone else has the most wins for an active driver, most wins in the modern era, and third all time behind David Pearson and Richard Petty, everyone else can shut it. Oh and also he owns half of Jimmie's car, so he is already racking up owner wins. Oh and who is second on the list of wins for an active driver? Jimmie Johnson. So Gordon has the most for an active driver and is an owner for second place. I wouldn't mind being in his spot right now.[Edited on November 11, 2012 at 10:50 PM. Reason : ]
