I just tuned into the first episode of season 4, and I still dig it.

Everything seems back to normal now that Jess/Nick are separated.

Yeah, they've been killing it this season. Some ridiculous plots (Schmidt can't do laundry?) but it's been consistently funny.

^ last season was pretty meh to me. Had a few good episodes but just ran a little clunky. Season 2 was solid though, and this season has been much better than the last.

Yeah that's what I've heard about season 3 from others. I'm pretty sure I saw all of the first 2 seasons. Then I moved and got a new job and got behind on a lot of shows. New Girl was one I just never picked back up.

Next season will be the final, with only 8 episodes. To be fair the end of this season was a pretty good ending if it had not been picked back up. Interesting to see what they do in that shorter time period.

They are fast forwarding like 3-4 years apparently. Hopefully its enough time to write a good finale without the wheels falling off like HIMYM's last season went.
