We invaded Iran in 2005 and are still there? News to me.[Edited on September 28, 2012 at 9:24 AM. Reason : And that makes us a police state? News to me.]

Referencing CIA/OGA?That graphic is kind of misleading when much of the world asks you to be their military; right or wrong, it's not like the U.S. unilaterally invaded all of those countries unprovoked. And it's not a U.S. thing to be the world police. It's a superpower/world's "leading" country(ies) thing... throughout history the most successful countries/empires have been the dominating military force in the world. If Iran had the success, wealth, technology, etc. of the U.S. and the U.S. was lower down on the scale, then Iran would like be more of a world police force.

^^I'm pretty sure that is a typo for iraq.If it doesn't make us a police state, it makes us a police country. But there are 9 pages of examples of police state, so.... we are police everything.

Iraq was 2003double typo?

Sidewalk chalking provokes policeAmy Larson readily admits writing “9/11 Truth” and “9/11 Truth Now” in chalk on the First Street sidewalk over Napa Creek.“I just want people to think for themselves,” said Larson, 29. “I believe we’ve lost a lot of civil liberties since the 9/11 attacks. I’m really concerned about that.“This is political free speech,” added Larson, who says the investigation into the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. should be reopened. Her chalk writing — which occurred Sept. 11, the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks — got Larson arrested on suspicion of vandalism.A self-described political activist who had never been arrested, Larson said she was returning from the farmers market after buying fruits and vegetables when she started writing the statements on the sidewalk. A police officer stopped to talk to her, then left, she said.“I was never told not to chalk the sidewalk,” said Larson, who is married and works in a wine cellar.Five to 10 minutes later, the officer returned with her boss in an SUV, Larson said. She was first detained, then arrested for investigation of felony vandalism and booked at the Napa County jail.http://napavalleyregister.com/news/local/sidewalk-chalking-provokes-police/article_ed4e1204-0510-11e2-aa13-0019bb2963f4.html#.UGJsIEvpeCx.facebook

Probably $40+ per hour labor (double if 2 person crew) plus probably $75 for truck and equipmentSo, not much cheaper, no.Bitch sounds crazy, her attitude and graffiti got her in trouble, not her message.
9/28/2012 5:12:11 PM
I could probably rent a pressure washer and hit those areas in under 20 minutes anyway...This is out of toronto:
9/28/2012 5:16:22 PM
But you understand why it costs a city a few hundred dollars... right?
9/28/2012 5:17:18 PM
Yes, I can understand why the nation is in $16 trillion debt.
9/28/2012 5:19:19 PM
Well one, it wouldn't take 20 minutes to clean up graffiti spread all around the city, and two, people don't work for free, and three, you have to depreciate equipment and charge it to jobs.
9/28/2012 5:24:39 PM
Oh Jesus Christ, "among growing food crisis"? A community garden in Toronto is impacting the global price of food? Toronto has a food shortage? Give me a fucking break.
9/28/2012 5:26:06 PM
What are you angry at? The people for planting a garden? Or the people for complaining that the city destroyed their garden?
9/28/2012 5:29:59 PM
I'm mad that they are trying to say it has something to do with global food prices and food security. Dumb hippies.
9/28/2012 6:00:38 PM
9/28/2012 6:04:58 PM
Their plot does not have any impact in any way on demand or global food prices
9/28/2012 6:08:44 PM
That is like saying fractions of a cent don't matter. You take any fraction of a cent away from $100 and you don't have $100 anymore. Therefore, even though their garden can feed 50 people, that is 50 less people that use global food, and 50 more meals available to 50 more families.

Is TSA not considered a type of police that are allowed to search and seize your belongings without a warrant which is unconstitutional?
9/28/2012 10:00:41 PM
They are not law enforcement officers. If city workers start stealing things is that a police state? No.
9/28/2012 10:41:33 PM
They are part of homeland security. Does that change your opinion at all?
9/28/2012 10:54:10 PM
GxB has a point. The Plum Island Animal Disease Center is part of homeland security and we know those mother fuckers mean business.

This thread should start talking about Greece's police state instead, and the fact the Golden Dawn party is starting to try the exact same shit the Nazis were doing in the early 1930s.
9/28/2012 11:55:52 PM
Already tried that. nobody cares. it's not on MSM in the US so it's irrelevant to our interests.http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=631179&page=2
9/29/2012 12:04:15 AM
It's irrelevant because its not our state, and it was on the news

Would it be evidence of a police state if we decided that anyone who uses NWO in a sentence indefinitely loses all credibility?Because that's a police state I would be willing to endure.

Boeing Now Has A Missile That Destroys Only Electronics And Leaves All Else Intact While the U.S. geared up for the second presidential debate last Tuesday, a building sat pulsing with computers, electronic surveillance, and security systems in the Utah high desert. The unoccupied site was awaiting the test of a weapon the Pentagon requested four years ago to the day on 16 October, 2008. The Counter-Electronics High Power Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP), led by Boeing's Phantom works, promised to change the face of contemporary warfare, and its test was a complete success.CHAMP flew over the Utah Test and Training Range last Tuesday, discharging a burst of High Power Microwaves onto the test site and brought down the compound's entire spectrum of electronic systems, apparently without producing any other damage at all. Even the camera recording the test was shut down.Struggling to contain his enthusiasm, Boeing's Keith Coleman says, "We hit every target we wanted to. Today we made science fiction into science fact."http://www.businessinsider.com/beoings-counter-electronics-high-power-microwave-advanced-missile-project-2012-10#ixzz2AOMxT67P

^^ Militarization of our police force implies that there is great potential in weapons technology so I think it is related. Soon every taser-toting cop will carry a miniature version of that weapon and it will be used on you when you try to film them. Could be highly effective if they can make it directional. Hope you like buying a new iphone.

"teen-shot-by-police-sniper-parents-talk-only-to-cbs-atlanta-news"Does this bother anyone else besides me? I don't know why it disturbs me, but there something ain't right about it.
