Didn't know where else to post this but 1/13 of our team's currently have/had a winning ACC record for 2010-11 and that was football at 5-3. Just looking at these is fucking depressing. Men's tennis is 0-7, did they not just make the elite eight of tennis a few years ago?

^Yeah, I've often said that the only way State could get worse is through conference expansion. We'd go from being 10th, 11th, or 12th in the conference to 14th, 15th, or 16th.

The only possible reason i can see for sending the email would be to prep the fanbase for a really underwhelming hire. Otherwise, what good did the email do? It didn't squash any rumors. It didn't shed any new light. And if you wanted to preach patience and let everyone know to ignore the rumors, then you should have done it before the rumors have been swirling for 2 weeks.

When I first read the email that same thought came to mind...prepping the fan base for a underwhelming hire. But, really, my opinion of the search hasn't after reading the email. Then again, I've been prepping myself for an underwhelming hire for a couple of weeks.

LOL, did you read Debbie Downer's email to the fans? She basically said everyone turned her down now and threw out excuses for screwing up the search. Most likely we are looking at an assistant at a mid major......hell, we should of just kept Lowe....

After sleeping on it, this letter seems even dumber this morning. Confirming in public that we whiffed on several coaches because of the difficulty of our job completely kills any posture we had in negotiations. Now we are likely not only going to end up not getting any A or B lister, but we are gonna end up overpaying a freaking assistant. We may end up with a solid coach, but goddamn this shit is embarrassing as a state fan.

What a difference 20 days make. She went from powerful press conference expressing what a great job she is selling that had every fan loving her to a sniveling apology/keep the faith letter talking about how difficult our job is.
