No, I stand behind it. It did not go too far at all. The reason I edited it is because I didn't want the discussion to go on that particular tangent.Similar to how these muslim and arab radicals view any supporter of Israel to be complicit in their crimes, I consider any supporter of Hamas to be complicit in their crimes.

So you'd like to decline the the chance to retract an unnecessary personal insult to him. I'm just saying, you seem to enjoy judging others, but then you make statements like this and defeat yourself. You accuse him of lacking humanity, but you're showing very little of it yourself.
6/8/2010 7:59:45 PM
Being a friend of humanity is pretty self explanatory. The poor treatment by Israel of Palestinians in their refugee camps and running them out of their homes is not something to support obviously and isn't a friend to humanity.Terrorist attacks on innocent civilians on either side is also not a friend to humanity.Obviously you only support Israel and not humanity. You'd rather Israel be allowed to do what they wish, destroy what they want, and kill whom ever gets in their way.

God damn I hate Jewser...I mean I hate the Israeli government, I absolutely LOVE Jewish people...In fact, I have a lot of black Jewish friends, so its all good rightI'm indeed not at all biased, and I'm completely impartial in my stances on equalityNOTE: this post is obviously in jest, and exaggerated...but its not 100% invalid either]

I can't figure out if you actually think any of that or if it's just that troll juice

the last line should inform you that i don't think that, but that there also seems to be some anti-Israeli sentiment by certain posters in this thread, for example, smc

If Mexico had been launching rockets into the US every day for several years, you don't think we'd block off all port access? And board any ship that refused to pull into an American port for inspection?
6/9/2010 2:49:40 AM
Not sure you want to defend Israel by speculating about countrrfactuals involving the u.s.

Hamas is not all Palestinians Israel is not all Jews
6/9/2010 11:21:12 AM
I have a solution. When Israel makes concessions to the Palestinians, the Palestinians don't respond by firing thousands of rockets at Israelis. This is a novel concept, I admit, but may be worth investigating as a possible way to ratchet down tensions in the region.
6/9/2010 11:22:38 AM
They could also stop provoking attacks and animosity by stopping illegal land grabs and settlements

^^ yea i think that pretty well describes the unilateral withdrawal of forces from the west bank and Gaza...followed by... you guessed it, ROCKET FIRE!!!wow, what a motivation to concede to Palestinians... Let's review our options:1) Concessions to Palestinians: Get killed with rockets, world criticizes Israel and demands more concessions2) Blockade Palestinians: No rocket fire, world criticizes Israel and demands more concessions[Edited on June 9, 2010 at 11:41 AM. Reuters admits to "inadvertently" cropping bloody knives out of pictures. You know this isn't the first time Reuters has pulled this bullshit against Israel. Remember those doctored photos of Beirut a few years ago?

Of course you don't fucking remember. You only notice problems with Israel

I'm not "calling him out", I'm actually asking for the evidence so I can weigh it and then revise my beliefs if necessary.
6/9/2010 12:13:52 PM
6/9/2010 12:16:10 PM
And yet they are still pulling this crap. Add in the Bruno Stevens photos, the Tuvia Grossman incident, constant sensationalist reporting of Israeli "massacres" such as the battle of Jenin, all that nonsense we heard about IDF using depleted uranium against Hezbollah, and you really do have the makings of a very biased media constantly trying to make Israel look bad.
6/9/2010 12:30:31 PM
6/9/2010 12:41:06 PM
Well, Bruno Stevens worked for other news outlets, and it wasn't Reuters that broke most of the stories i mentioned. My point is that the "mainstream media" is very sympathetic to the plight of the Palestianians, and their reporting slants accordingly. They are particularly susceptable to reporting sensationalist and often bogus stories that make Israel look bad.
6/9/2010 12:47:49 PM
6/9/2010 12:54:59 PM
US media probably has a pro-Israel slant, although that has changed some in recent years. International media is decidedly anti-Israel. However, journalistic standards are thrown out the window all too often in their rush to bash the Israelis. These are not isolated incidents.
6/9/2010 1:09:54 PM
Watch this for a great example of CNN and the media getting called out for anti-Israel bias.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7N1AL0FTF4
6/9/2010 1:13:44 PM
6/9/2010 1:49:01 PM
You'd think they would keep some journalistic standards intact during their hatefest, but maybe that's too much to ask.
6/9/2010 1:57:54 PM
^^ or maybe its just that liberals are so accustomed to a predefined narrative, they just rely on that rather than seriously considering the actual facts of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.[Edited on June 9, 2010 at 2:18 PM. Reason : s]

I heard that if you're an antisemite, you can just replace "jews" with "zionists" and get a free pass.

People aren't born Zionists -- I wonder what the explanation could be! Could it be a viewpoint that somebody could adopt regardless of being Jewish or Gentile ...... could it be a viewpoint that somebody could reject regardless of being Jewish or Gentile !?!?!?Solinari: confused by basic facts
