I agree he lacks the "wow" factor, but he has hit more than a handful of clutch shots and game-winners this year. That makes him ok in my book.

Trade sounds good. Was in court when I got text about it. I was very happy with trade. Like someone said, as long as 1st rounder is not a lottery pick and we protected those rights, then I am good with trade.

^wow thought that was a joke when you posted it until i confirmed it

i guess it will help inside defense as he is a helluva shot blocker...but he's almost 37 years old too

Wow. There's a name I haven't heard in a while. Dude used to be one hell of a shotblocker -- tore it up on my NBA fantasy team.

well diop appears useless a fair amount of the time, and chandler is never healthy, so getting a big body for cheap that larry brown is already familiar and comfortable with is a decent pick up. still, hard to get excited about a 37 year old.

great trade, now we just need to get matched up with Boston or Atlanta in the first round which means we need to stop this losing skid we've been on.

love the Thomas trade.

last three trades have been all about getting some athletes on this team. We were the least athletic team last year, subsequently leading the league in shots blocked. Now we've got some guys (other than Wallace) that aren't nailed to to the floor (like Adam Morrison, Okafor, Matt Carrol, Raja Bell, Diop) Even Felton, as quick as he is, can't finish at the rack.

I think this trade makes us better.

im really glad we backed away from the TJ Ford/Brandon Rush for DJ, Nazr, Gerald deal at the last minute. I hate that trade.

I have no idea why, but I found myself watching Felton highlight videos from high school the other day. What's crazy is that he was jumping out of the gym -- literally half of the highlights were him throwing down vicious dunks. I was thinking "who the hell is this guy?" the whole time.

I know players lose some of their explosion over the years, but it's unreal how athletic he use to be compared to now.

Felton looks like he's gained weight compared to his younger days.. looks a lot bulkier

the added weight may help him in other facets of his game. no clue, but even in college he could get in the lane but couldn't finish as well as others with this ability.

The Bobcats GM was on the Pack Man show talking about it earlier.

There was no talk of trading our best player in Gerald Wallace plus Nazr and DJ Augustin for those two clowns. We were only after the PF position at the deadline and filled that need.

Go back and listen to the Pack Man interview this afternoon with Rod Higgins.

50-50 at the half and looking good on both ends of the floor so far.

I'll never understand this team...account for 40% of the nets wins but handily beat teams like the cavs.

That was a great game to be at last night. Early on, it felt like the bobcats were down 10 but it was fairly even, then the 3rd quarter defined the game

We paid like $50 for standing room tickets, but spent the whole game at the club level

^i never understood how that can happen to a professional team. in college theyre kids so i understand being at home giving you confidence. but as a professional you know you made it and should have confidence everywhere you play

This 6 game stretch coming up is going to be brutal. Hopefully they'll find a way to to steal a couple games and come out of it still at .500

no one could shoot the ball last night

jackson had an antawnesque performance and fouled out, diaw clanked several treys and the team blew a late lead

That was one they really needed with this upcoming schedule getting tougher.

When Jack has off nights this team really struggles.

That 3 at the end of the quarter looked like it gave Jack and the team a spark right there.

Maybe we can steal this one to make up for that bad Clipper loss.

MJ TO BUY THE BOBCATS

This is the best thing that could have happened out of the whole deal. I was definitely not in favor of turning the team over to yet another out of town businessman. Now let's just hope MJ keeps putting money in to turn this team into a contender.

^ Actually, it's hard to say whether this will be good or bad.

Bob had a "reputation" for being cheap but he was really anything but when it comes down to it.

Despite losing tens of millions of dollars annually he agreed to big deals with Okafor and Wallace. Approved a trade for a big contract in Richardson... re-signed Carroll to a moderately big deal, took on Nazr's salary, etc.

Now, we know Jordan doesn't have a lot of money so he can't have put up a HUGE percentage of the team. Last I saw he was valued at $400 million two years ago. Let's be conservative and say that's $300 million now.

The team was purchased for $300 million so we'll say it was valued at ~225-$250 million now given the huge cash flow drain. The new investors know they'll get some immediate short term cash flow relief in ~18 months when the owners lock out the players, but what if they want to plug the leaks immediately?

We could see a big overhaul this offseason, especially if we fail to make the playoffs this year.

They may elect to let Felton (who has quietly emerged into one of the best PG's the East this season) walk if he finds the $6-$8 million per he's looking for.

Chandler is expiring so he could be shopped though I don't know anyone would want him in the offseason. He'd be more of a trade deadline addition.

They could "Phoenix Suns" us and fill the bench exclusively with veteran minimum contracts instead of role players like Nazr, Diop, etc

We'll see but I don't think letting a proven bad management team (Jordan) take over more control of the organization is clearly a good thing.

What is good however is our win over Memphis. For god's sake if we miss the playoffs with this roster I will shit myself. We need either Tyson or Nazr back immediately, Theo won't be able to log these kinds of minutes for much longer.

Oh yeah, and glad to see Boris coming on strong lately we needed him to stop being such a nightly negative. If we can just get any production out of DJ we could find ourselves back in contention for the 6 seed.
