It was just alright
1/16/2009 9:44:13 AM
One of my favorite lines from the episode: "I am very impressed with the potential you see in me."
1/16/2009 11:23:12 AM
"just goes to show when you live scranton, exciting things can happen"
1/16/2009 11:35:04 AM
since someone was talking about the former spinoff. here's the latest from aziz (http://azizisbored.tumblr.com/post/70834003/latest-on-the-untitled-schur-daniels-poehler)

now sure how anyone can like or have any sympathy for Angela any more, given the way shes treated both Dwight and especially Andy....
1/16/2009 3:28:26 PM
I agree the end mini-scene wasn't up to par, but I liked the rest of it. Do love Kevin's lines at the beginning.
1/16/2009 4:16:49 PM
i liked michael's explanation of his management traitsthen he called himself out on it outside of david's office
1/16/2009 6:06:11 PM
Hillary Swank does look like a monster
1/22/2009 9:09:29 PM
they seem to be doing their best to make us all forget that there was ever anything between Jim and Pam. like, you know.... they're engaged and Jim just bought a house and everything. I guess any week now they'll insert some kind trumped up drama to get us all interested again. btw, wtf happened to Ryan? Is he still there? .... why is he a leading character again (yes, yes, i know he is a producer and writer)
1/22/2009 9:50:49 PM
^ he told Kelly earlier in the season that he's going to Thailand with some friends from high school.IMDB shows that BJ is in filming for Tarantino's new movie, so im guessing he'll be back
1/23/2009 12:40:03 AM
haha this episode was so-so until the very end when michael ended the hilary swank debateand the opening was really good too with the wire[Edited on January 23, 2009 at 2:26 AM. Reason : .]

Dwight using his hand as a shark fin made me lol. The whole thing at Prince Paper seemed kinda meh. The Hilary Swank thing had a few moments (Stanley's speech stands out), but overall it seemed like nothing really happened in this episode.I give it one thumb up. The other one, kinda sideways.
1/23/2009 10:34:12 AM
It wasn't the best episode, but the some of the debating was pretty funny. Kevin was pretty funny this episode.
1/23/2009 1:19:05 PM
it was ok. it had some really funny parts for sure. It felt kind of disjointed though, and definitely kind of felt like nothing really happened even though it was funny.
1/23/2009 1:25:46 PM
haha, Hillary Swank is a female Boris Becker
1/23/2009 1:51:06 PM
I can't believe he really burnt the nice little family business
1/23/2009 6:48:42 PM
here's what I don't understand. 1) why didn't everyone immediately want to ask michael and dwight for their votes as soon as they came in? and 2) after michael "voted", why didn't the losing team ask dwight?
1/23/2009 7:10:48 PM
because Dwight was already in Michael's office when he said she was hot, and then the episode ended.
1/23/2009 7:16:37 PM
zero laughs in this episode
1/23/2009 7:53:08 PM
I definitely laughed at Dwight accusing IHOP of being socialist... and "You'll have pancakes and you'll like it!"
1/24/2009 12:07:25 AM
worst episode ever.
1/24/2009 8:57:00 AM
^^was posted while watching the episode on Hulu... After seeing the whole thing... Pretty much the only good parts were the dwight-michael interactions in the car near the beginning. The in-office debate was pointless and completely unfunny... the dwight/michael spying mission looked like it would build up to something funny but then just ended up being mildly depressing. It's like they didn't have anything planned that's actually relevant to the plot of the series, so they just forced the character's personalities to interact somewhat randomly with all the others...[Edited on January 24, 2009 at 9:19 AM. i'm glad to see more people realizing that this show is no longer funny.
1/24/2009 10:09:56 AM
Guess everyone can stop watching it now so it will get canceled.THEN EVERYONE IN HERE WILL BE SO HAPPY.
1/24/2009 11:45:34 AM
^^^Yeah that's what I just realized, there was absolutely nothing that tied in at all to any episodes past or present, it did not move the plot along in any way whatsoever. If it wasn't for the absence of Ryan this episode could have aired in any given season and fit the same as it did for this one. It's like they have a certain number of generic throw-away episodes they can throw in anywhere when they have some writers block or just want to sit the season on idle...but one part I found funny anyway:Pam: We don't even give [Kevin] full Internet access.Kevin:...........wait, what?[Edited on January 24, 2009 at 11:54 AM. simonn is soo upset this show is still on the air
1/24/2009 11:54:56 AM
Spontaneous called it a filler episode - I was in denial after the intro but after falling asleep twice on the couch and realizing I didn't miss anything, I was in agreement.Next week better be worth the wait.
1/24/2009 12:00:24 PM
The episode was definitely a filler but that's what you tend to get with the way executives run shows. There are way too many episodes per season for almost every show. I honestly think that comedies should all be between 10-15 episodes/season and the audience would be more appreciate with strong plots and jokes and still leave us wanting more.

i don't think i'd do pam anymore
1/26/2009 7:55:54 PM
the hilary swank/spy episode was lame... Maybe 3 good conversational jokes. The duel was pretty damn good IMO
1/26/2009 9:04:19 PM
So yeah this is supposed to be a big deal. Hour long episode. Jack Black and Jessica Alba though? WTF.
2/1/2009 8:35:20 PM
^ they're not really in the show, or so i've read.
2/1/2009 9:52:23 PM
Ah ok. THAT WAS HILARIOUS. THE CAT!!
2/1/2009 9:55:11 PM
yeah, i hate it that they are ruining the cat in the ceiling joke, but it's f'ing hilarious every time I've seen it.
2/1/2009 10:09:05 PM
holy new intro batman
2/1/2009 10:45:20 PM
ok, well the cat in the ceiling was still good, as was the rest of the opening. And they changed the opening titles, for the first time in 5 years! It's great to see all the other characters get top-billing. I wonder if that means they're all officially moved to the main cast, instead of secondary characters (i.e. would be a huge pay increase for all of them)
2/1/2009 10:47:03 PM
wow.this show has totally lost it.
