from what i read earlier, she wasnt even being considered until like the friday before he picked her....he was told ridge/lieberman wouldnt fly, and that mormon/pawlenty was too "expected"
9/3/2008 1:19:34 AM
I'm still loving the complaint by the press that they would only have 2 months to investigate Palin, and it wasn't fair to them to pick someone so new to the political scene. good gracious

Rove was right, but it's sad that even mccain can't go against herr rove.

was this really out of line or is the mccain campaign being a bunch of whiny bitches?http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2008/09/03/ec.mccain.upset.cnnI whole-heartedly agree with roland martin's comments at the end of the segment (7:40)[Edited on September 3, 2008 at 9:42 AM. Reason : .]

I don't think it was over the line and it's a bit much that they're complaining about it. I didn't have a problem with the questions she was asking, but her smugness in the delivery as she was basically laughing at him avoiding the question made me want to punch her in the face.also, that Tucker Bounds dude sounded like a moron
9/3/2008 10:01:05 AM
I love how they show that one clip from mrs. brown, but dont show her saying that Palin should not have taken the position bc it was cruel to her daughter, bc the media will pound her daughter. That is ridiculous."why her mother would have subjected her to his kind of scrutiny, by accpeting this high profile position."[Edited on September 3, 2008 at 10:31 AM. do what now?http://blogs.marketwatch.com/election/2008/09/02/palin-said-war-in-iraq-gas-pipeline-are-gods-will/i guess she's right. i just talked to the Sun God this morning, and he told me not to be afraid -- that despite our low IQs, we will find a way to harness his almighty gift of solar energy!

Everybody on the Right makes a big deal about Rev. Wright, but are noticeably silent about the AIP, the same party that Sarah Palin has courted her entire political life and the same party her husband was a member of.http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/aip_founder_professed_hatred_f.php
9/3/2008 11:43:01 AM
the last thing we need is some dogmatic jesus wanna-be declaring that the war in iraq and her actions as VP is god's will. By 2010 she'll be calling the crusades to sterlize Iran from the heathen muslims in order to colonize New Peria for good Christian followers.By the way surely god wanted G.I. Joe to be firing his gun and blowing up bombs that all to many times have hit civilians in Iraq. Never mind i forgot. since they are not christian they deserved to did and will likely go to hell for not accepting jesus christ as their savior.[Edited on September 3, 2008 at 11:52 AM. Reason : a]

McCain: Stop questions on Palin backgroundhttp://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26527513/LOL. Yeah right.
9/3/2008 12:51:55 PM
Obama also said families are off limitsbut why does the media care about any of those requests?
9/3/2008 12:52:22 PM
Barack Obama is not the media and the media is not Barack Obama. The media has a different job than Barack Obama and should not be taking its marching orders from either Barack Obama or John McCain.
9/3/2008 12:54:59 PM
so when Obama and McCain both essentially say "family members are off limits" the media should just ignore that and talk about a 17 year old girl's sex life instead of say, McCain's and Obama's policies?]
9/3/2008 12:56:00 PM
The media never talked about the 17 year old daughter until the McCain camp released that information. It was the bloggers who were talking about it. As someone who watches the 24 hour news stations and reads a wide variety of online sources, the mainstream media never mentioned the Bristol story. furthermore, just because so-and-so says something is off limits does not and should not stop the media from determining what they will report on.
9/3/2008 1:00:36 PM
if democrats follow their leaders like obama the way they have been following him on the Palin witchhunt...i guess we are in for a preview of what it's gonna be like if he's electedcmon, can't democrats even follow their own leaders??? wat were you saying about unity again?
9/3/2008 1:02:50 PM
Sorry, I don't think the Democrats have a hive mind, or at least I've never been hooked up to one.
9/3/2008 1:06:21 PM
I think it's already been discussed that the whole 17 year old pregnancy thing has more to do with abstinence-only sex education than with moral character. Most people don't give a fuck whether the girl is pregnant or not but it does relate to policy in the sense that Palin can't even get abstinence to work in her own household, much less a country.
9/3/2008 1:08:23 PM
and that's why so many voters will relate to her.with a culture that influences young people to have sex, and that porn is cool, and whores are accepted, i'm guessing a huge portion of american homes will perfectly relate to her AND how she is properly handling the situationi think its great.
9/3/2008 1:14:27 PM
Yeah, except for the fact that she did the only thing that abstinence-only sex education told her not to do.I don't give a fuck if she's pregnant with a black midget's kid. It is, however, very hypocritical and the policy that was supposed to prevent this should be placed under review.
9/3/2008 1:17:36 PM
Its nowhere near hypocritical, but keep on trying to make this a bigger issue.I think they have handled it well, and released a good statement on it.I think the rumors that her child is her grandson, asking for dna tests, etc.. are ridiculous.
9/3/2008 1:21:21 PM
^^which is exactly why you represent a tiny <1% of the opinion of the nation.democrats can't handle mistakes, let alone of children. it's one thing for the leader of the free world to be getting blow and hand jobs in the oval office daily while he has a kid and a wife and a nation to take care of.it's quite another for a young woman to fall in love and get pregnant. hell, the boy has even pledged to help father the child.this has happened since the beginning of humans. even if her daughter fails, the other 100 women that didn't get pregnant b/c of this education makes it worth it.[Edited on September 3, 2008 at 1:23 PM. ^^That paternity test shit is all bullshit concocted by Steve Schmidt, unless this supposed reporter he went out to eat with "off the record" was actually from the Weekly World News. Also, the conservatives bemoaning the attention on Palin's family, is Meghan McCain now fair game since she wrote, what is probably the world's worst children's book?http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20223016,00.htmlWe have Sarah Palin trying to ban literature and here we have Walnuts' own daughter writing a children's book with illustrations of her dad as a POW. Yeah, that sure as shit won't scare the kiddies.
9/3/2008 1:29:54 PM
Guys are really digging into those issues. Lets talk some more shit about thier kids. That will gain you some moral ground.
9/3/2008 1:32:00 PM
Walnuts' daughter is the one who wrote the book and is out hawking it at the RNC. I wouldn't have even had known who the fuck Walnuts' daughter was unless she wrote this horrible book. It's good to see that the unemployed 23 year old has the ability to write shittastic books about Walnuts.
9/3/2008 1:34:13 PM
The more they bring this up the better. It'll show how big of douchebags the democratic party really is.
9/3/2008 1:36:47 PM
If only my parents were rich enough that I could be unemployed, out of college and picking out my room at the White House. What I wouldn't give to be Walnuts' daughter
9/3/2008 1:43:13 PM
9/3/2008 1:46:28 PM
I don't know if this is real, but it's amazing this is what our presidential election has been reduced to.
9/3/2008 1:51:12 PM
omfg liberal media!!!1
9/3/2008 1:52:08 PM
It sad what our media has become. Our country is more focused on some children than issues, or the actual people that matter in this election.
9/3/2008 1:53:11 PM
I wouldn't use Supermarket Tabloids as evidence of the media.
9/3/2008 1:55:36 PM
For fucks sake usually the opposing party or a politicians enemies have to spend $texas and it usually takes months of investigation (most often after being elected) for the scandals/skeletons/bad press to emerge. This woman has only been on the McCain ticket for a week and the closet door is already out flowing. You would think McCain would have done a little more research to ensure his VP would not be so easily hit by the scrutinizers/reporters to put any more tarnish on the Republican ticket. Espicially given the uphill battle R's have, thanks to Bush.
9/3/2008 1:57:25 PM
9/3/2008 3:34:21 PM
no you'd just hear that God wanted us to go to wear with Iraq.
9/3/2008 3:41:43 PM

The same political party Palin addressed earlier this year.http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2008/09/02/aip_problem/index.htmlhttp://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/aip_founder_professed_hatred_f.php

9/3/2008 3:56:04 PM
this shit is so awesome...strange thing is i'm still not sure if obama is gonna win!
9/3/2008 3:58:43 PM
I think secretly McCain wants to throw the election. This way he doesn't have to spend his last years stressing over issues of priority faced as president. Rather than quitting and pissing off his GOP buddies; instead he chooses Gov. Palin! Not only does she alienate McCain's libertarian/moderate/ and non-christian voters; but it also potentially pisses off some of the diehard lower class ignorant conservatives who believe women should have no role as president or VP. As an added bonus he does appease the christian rigth, earning some of their support. When before he had very little from this group
9/3/2008 3:58:58 PM
9/3/2008 4:06:03 PM
You'd have to ask Meg Whitman, McCain's Co-Chairperson on the Campaign.on second reading, it is a misquote from Talkingpoints. She says Second highest. They are sure to be fixing it right now.[Edited on September 3, 2008 at 4:08 PM. Reason : .]

^^ If you think Palin helps "build" McCain's voter base; than you might be an idiot.
9/3/2008 4:32:51 PM
I don't think it helps build his base, I think it has the potential to harm Obama's. And it has nothing to do with Palin specifically, any relatively normal woman with a similar issue would have worked, the GOP just happened to find Palin that's all.
