maybe he's not going to those services because everyone's already labeled him guilty - wouldn't it make it a bit more stressful for him to have to deal with that on top of mourning? personally, i don't blame him. if i were in his shoes, being outwardly blamed for something would probably make me snap, which wouldn't look too good. he's been mourning, trust me. he's a very reserved guy, so i wouldn't expect him to publicly mourn, anyway.

i thought initially it was stated that she was supposed to be at her house around two or someting? well that would make the husband not calling seem that much more reasonable if she went at 7 and then was supposed to be some place in the neighborhood around 8. also, its sounding to me as if the neighbor watches too much law and order. i would never jump to such a conclusion about anyone i know that quickly. i would have first called the husband and then called the police.

i think the friend's call says a few very important things: 1) nancy was supposed to be at her house at 8am, 2) nancy was training for a half-marathon so she might very well have gone jogging, 3) nancy's husband says she went for a jog at 7am, and 4) nancy's cell phone was still at her house.

if you go jogging, chances are you'll take your cell phone with you, especially if you have plans later with a friend and you might be late and need to call. also, if you are training for a half-marathon, you do not go jogging at 7am when you have to be somewhere at 8am. that leaves very little jogging time, and people who train for marathons typically jog for several hours at a time.

i think the friend is concerned because she has a reason to be concerned - she obviously knows a lot more about nancy and her husband's relationship than she lets on in that 911 call. not to mention she repeatedly refers to their "divorce" which tells me they were doing a lot more than "having marital problems" like nancy's husband has previously stated.

WRONG

one of the best ways to train for distance running is to run multiple times instead of once a day. and a half-marathon only takes about 1.5 hours to run. so 1 hour of running 2-3 times a day is PLENTY of training for a half marathon.

^ I ran a half-marathon in April and the longest run I did was 7 miles and that took me about an hour. Other than that one long ass run day, I normally did four which took under a half an hour. You are supposed to do long distance days at a medium to slow pace and short distance days at a fast pace with interval sprints and shit, mang.

Also, I never took my celly when I went on my runs.
