6/8/2008 9:43:25 PM
WHERE DID AIMORRIS GO?!WORST FINISH TO A GAME EVER....haha not really, but god this ref was retarded[Edited on June 8, 2008 at 9:44 PM. Reason : f]
6/8/2008 9:43:52 PM
Even without the best squad that is a great result. Really, the next games to look forward to are the Mexico games in the last stage of qualifying
6/8/2008 9:46:27 PM
without?
6/8/2008 9:46:59 PM
What a frustrating game. Too bad we didn't have our best 11 out there, a win would have been super duper.
6/8/2008 9:47:11 PM
ref fucked that game up for us.. what a joke. we had some serious momentum working until that happened and we didn't get it back until after Masch had his horrific tackleI thought Mastroeni had a terrific game, same for Pearce, who should be our starting left back from now onAdu is just so exciting to watch man, even though he didn't do much tonight except get fouled
6/8/2008 9:48:40 PM
i'm happy with the effort, especially the 2nd halfthey missed tevez and his messed up neck
6/8/2008 9:48:58 PM
6/8/2008 9:49:20 PM
tevez is their 3rd or 4th best striker[Edited on June 8, 2008 at 9:49 PM. Reason : argentina is loaded with attacking options]
6/8/2008 9:49:23 PM
The way we finished that game is how we should start it from now on except keep the defense they way it started and replace Califf with Boca.------------------Donovan----------------------Beasley-------------Adu--------------Kljestan--------------Edu------Mastroeni--------------Pearce-----Boca----------Onyewu----Cherundolo---------------------Howard--------------------
6/8/2008 9:52:26 PM
and what i meant to say with tevez not being their first option striker, is that this was their A squad..if anything changed aguero out crespo in...^no bocanegra, anybody but bocanegra, he gets lost on free kicks way too much, and that is usually how we get scored on[Edited on June 8, 2008 at 9:54 PM. Reason : f]
6/8/2008 9:54:07 PM
I dunno, I've always liked him for some reason. If anything I would replace Oneywu with Demerit or Califf because he's too clumsy and a little reckless sometimes... he's also not very fast

Mexico has a potentially "tough" second round group with Canada and Honduras.
6/8/2008 9:56:25 PM
oh and of course its Pablo with the bullshit red card... NC State karma damnit, we can't escape it
6/8/2008 9:59:49 PM
yea...im not sure of how honduras are in defense and GK, but they have some great attacking weapons in Palacios and Suazo[Edited on June 8, 2008 at 10:00 PM. Reason : f]
6/8/2008 10:00:20 PM
Yeah, I only thought they'd be a though match for Mexico because they beat them in the group stage of the Gold Cup last year.
6/8/2008 10:02:11 PM
i cant wait til jozy is playing. him and adu are so sick
6/8/2008 10:03:50 PM
So things to take away from the 3 friendlies:1. Eddie Johnson is NOT the solution up top2. Tim Howard will be our #1 for a long, long time3. Donovan makes us twice as better of a team4. Pearce may have solved our left back problems (hopefully)5. Adu deserves more than 30 minutes a game6. Beasley is still a threat when he's healthywhat else?
6/8/2008 10:07:37 PM
^^^^^That is what I thought when it happened too. It pretty much summed up how this weekend went for the Wolfpack Nation.2 blowout losses in baseball, Hickson leaves, and Mastroeni gets a BS red card.
6/8/2008 10:19:50 PM
7. freddy adu makes our midfield run and is the future
6/8/2008 10:22:13 PM
8. bob bradley is not the solution as manager
6/8/2008 10:29:36 PM
I just don't understand what more Adu can do to get more minutes for the US.. and Benfica for that matter. Are there questions about his stamina or something? I mean, he goes 90 for the youth teams on a regular basis so I didn't think that could be a reason.
6/8/2008 10:34:55 PM
well clearly it would ruin bradley's 12 def midfielders on the pitch at one time tactic
6/8/2008 10:42:51 PM
^Are you one of the people over on bigsoccer.com who has started one of about 1,000 fire BB threads? Don't bring that over here.
6/8/2008 10:51:11 PM
^^ I don't mind the Edu/Mastroeni 2-mid pairing. Edu is pretty 50/50 when it comes to offense/defense and Mastro provides that enforcer type role, along with some veteran experience. I don't think Bradley is ready for consistent national team minutes yet and Ricardo Clark is a poor man's Mastroeni.and ^ dude, he's not the right guy for the job... you can just tell he's out of his league on the international level
6/8/2008 10:56:23 PM
bradley is a shit ton better than arenas tho
6/9/2008 12:19:31 AM
-bradley, while he has apparently been "great" in holland failed to impress against good opponents in these 3 friendlies. -clark wasnt good either. -i really didnt hear edu's name that much during argentina game, i dont know if thats good or bad-mastroeni seemed pretty good this game.-adu is our new donovan, but prob better-dempsey, i have a feeling was on heavy legs during these friendlies after having to somewhat carry fulham in the EPL-EJ actually got to some balls in the air well against argentina and did well at times in checking to...but his headers were going straight at the keeper, its obvious to everyone he is at least behind altidore-pearce looks pretty good at left back, he had a bad game against either england or spain, i forget, but hes new to the international scene.-cherundolo is def our right back still-i have no idea who we are to play at center back...no one looks confident enough right now-donovan is our team offensively-beasley is back...thank god-after spain and england id be happy if i never saw guzan in the goal again-cause basically howard is our gk for at least 5 years, maybe 10
6/9/2008 3:15:44 AM
^clark didnt play any of the 3someone said Kljestan should start...really? he didn't do anything really, he's so skinny i think he'd get pushed off the ball....let altidore have another chanceand have we figured out what mastroeni did to get a red?[Edited on June 9, 2008 at 11:02 AM. Reason : yeah]
6/9/2008 11:01:17 AM
6/9/2008 11:18:53 AM
i still cant figure out if clark is bad on this team cause hes playing with bradley in the middle with him or if hes just not made for the international level^^im still skeptical on kljestan, but he is young and when he subbed in last night he provided a nice offensive spark[Edited on June 9, 2008 at 11:46 AM. Reason : f]
6/9/2008 11:45:16 AM
^ and he seems to play really well everytime I watch Chivas play
6/9/2008 11:58:59 AM
i havent seen many chivas games...but i do keep seeing them givin up plenty of goals on the stat sheet, so i wonder how guzan keeps gettin called up.[Edited on June 9, 2008 at 12:02 PM. Reason : k]
6/9/2008 12:02:09 PM
clark definitely played in the england gamei think he even started
6/9/2008 12:16:49 PM
got the Arg game DVRd. will watch it eventually
6/9/2008 12:20:23 PM
6/9/2008 2:26:20 PM
^LOL on the poor excuse by the ref. He needs to admitt he blew it.
6/9/2008 6:22:54 PM
Barbados game tomorrow, here's the roster for both games against them --
6/14/2008 8:28:40 PM
yea. at least hes not throwing out the C team or some shit...cause honestly, i could see us losing away...and even if its wrapped up(i dont know which game is first), a loss to barbados is bad any way you slice itand who the hell is dominic cervi???[Edited on June 14, 2008 at 9:13 PM. Reason : f]
