Hmmm...I picked up Willie Parker in FA after week 1 in two of my leagues(third league I was last on waiver list so no way I was getting him) so now I'm thinkin about trying to deal him in at least one of my leagues. With the Bettis and Staley making their way back do you think it's a good move? Of course I'd make sure who I got was above average, but does everyone else agree that Willie Parker's streak of awesome games is over?
10/7/2005 12:54:14 PM
It is for right now because Bettis is the only one that has been quoted for playing time. Deuce is still below Parker. So I would keep him for now but be ready to drop going forward.
10/7/2005 1:04:25 PM
Well, I always believe in selling high, so right now he's the starter, but since I'm pretty set at RB(Rudi, Edge, Cadillac, and C. Brown) I just threw out a trade to a guy, Willie Parker for Tory Holt. Don't think he'll accept it but he seems to be a big Pitt fan and one of his RB's is out for a while so he might take it.
10/7/2005 1:09:31 PM
yeah i just suckered a Vikings fan into taking Culpepper off my hands for Houshmanzadeh[Edited on October 7, 2005 at 1:10 PM. Reason : THANKGOD!!]
10/7/2005 1:10:41 PM
you will regret that trade later on in the season
10/8/2005 4:35:27 PM
Which one? Mine or the Culpepper trade?I don't know that he will, Culpepper has a bruised MCL and knee bursitis, so a good shot to the leg and he could be done for the season. But yeah I'd guess that Culpepper will put up more points than Housh for sure. That guy hasn't accepted or rejected my trade, haha, don't even know if he is checking his team and stuff but he needs to get on and accept it, haha.
10/8/2005 5:21:45 PM
Julius Jones or Stephen Jackson this week
10/8/2005 5:34:01 PM
That guy would have to be a moron to trade Torry Holt for Parker. I tried to trade Willie Parker and Santana Moss for Tiki Barber, but that got rejected. I'm gonna keep trying to sell Parker before his stock drops. He will not get many yards against San Diego.
10/8/2005 5:35:16 PM
hey you guys need to pay more attentioni traded culpepper for housh because i needed a receiver but more importantly to open up a seat (QB) for Eli Manning, which i picked upi wont be regrettin a damn thing
10/8/2005 6:44:01 PM
Jones is the better back but Dallas has been struggling to get the run going, but I'd say go with Julius, look for the Rams to be passing a lot.The guy I'm trying to trade with only has 2 healthy backs and has some decent WR's already. I was looking for a trade where the players had a similar average points per week, and Willie is averaging around a point more so on the surface it looks fair, haha. But the guy has Bettis and Staley, so I'm thinking he keeps up with Pitt football and won't bite on the trade.
10/8/2005 7:42:50 PM
bttt so how is everyone doing so far today

we'll see[Edited on October 9, 2005 at 4:32 PM. Reason : keep in mind i have Bledsoe, Brees and C.Palmer][Edited on October 9, 2005 at 4:33 PM. Reason : and now Eli Manning]
10/9/2005 4:32:31 PM
FUCKguess i should have checked the notes last, braylon edwards had some random surgery yesterday and didnt play todayfocker
10/9/2005 7:07:58 PM
Hope that guy went with Bryant...Also, thank you Boldin and Smith, haha.
10/9/2005 7:40:18 PM
i have both of them too...and was going against p. manning and m. harrison...i got lucky
10/9/2005 7:59:00 PM
yeah talking about under-achieving this weekMcNabb/TOManning/HarrisonBoth pairs expected to have huge weeks and both had horrible weeks.
10/9/2005 11:59:57 PM
yeah mcnabb is the main reason im getting my first L this week (in my main league)
10/10/2005 12:06:19 AM
Yeah Harrison is dragging one of my teams down, but Boldin is helping me out some.
10/10/2005 12:27:28 AM
yeah i have boldin too boldin, smith, galloway, wayne, porter and braylon edwards...i'm deep at wr, but my rb's are SUCKING (j. lewis and westbrook), and culpepper is my qb...so yeah...
10/10/2005 12:40:38 AM
other than this week westbrook has been a solid #2 back[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 1:06 AM. Reason : ]
10/10/2005 1:06:25 AM
Be glad you're deep, because they said that Braylon may miss up to 6-8 weeks. And Westbrook SHOULD have had a 50-60 yard TD reception but McNabb threw it too far in front of him.
10/10/2005 1:06:55 AM
^^^Jamal Lewis has had 2 solid games since his week 2 debacle, and he is starting to pick up steam as the season goes on. [Edited on October 10, 2005 at 8:16 AM. Reason : !]
10/10/2005 8:14:57 AM
yea he's looking better and yesterday he had a receiving td
10/10/2005 9:12:31 AM
the question is, is anyone brave enough to pick up McCown[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 10:58 AM. Reason : im glad i picked up TEN's defense this week - gave me 47 points]
10/10/2005 10:57:56 AM
i picked up mccown before the 9ers gamei had pennington and my only other option was bollingerthen somebody beat me to the punch for testaverdeso i hope warner keeps his ass on the bench
10/10/2005 11:17:10 AM
if Arizona has any brains on their squad, they will sit Kurt Warner until McCown fucks upbased on his last 2 games, he is averaging about 350 passing yards a game and 2 TD'syou have to be a moron to bench someone putting up those numbers[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 11:45 AM. Reason : fdg]
10/10/2005 11:34:32 AM
i have a choice between picking up A. Brooks, T. Dilfer, J. Plummer, Leftwich, Greise, Green, Brunell, or McCown.who should i picki need to fill a qb back up spot to C. Palmer
10/10/2005 2:23:32 PM
Last year Arizona was winning with McCown, had a winning record, and guess what they did...they BENCHED McCown for NO reason and threw in King and that team went to complete shit. So if you don't think they'll throw Warner back in when he's healthy then you don't know their coaching staff. I agree McCown should have the spot till he loses it, but Green isn't that competent of a coach and is likely to screw that up too.Brooks - nope(check GB game)Dilfer - offense is too sporadicPlummer - running team, he'll have flashes but won't be consistentLeftiwch - pretty consistent 1-2 TD 200 yard gamesGriese - see PlummerBrunell - has the tools but not consistentMcCown - while playing he puts up good statsI'd go with Leftwich or McCown(while he is starting). If neither of those tickle your fancy, go with Plummer, Griese, or Brunell.
10/10/2005 2:31:21 PM
How did Tenn's defense get you 47 points?!? What kind of scoring system do you have if they got that many points after giving up 20 points? Please tell me it's not 1 point per tackle, lol.
10/10/2005 2:38:20 PM
you get 5 points per sack and they had 7 (i think)B. Troupe (Ten - TE) Q E. Kinney (Ten - TE) Q J. Stevens (Sea - TE) C. Cooley (Was - RB,TE)which TE?[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 2:42 PM. Reason : ?][Edited on October 10, 2005 at 2:43 PM. Reason : df]
10/10/2005 2:42:14 PM
5 points per sack? lolthats almost as much as a TD. so how is a defensive touchdown only worth one more point than a sack?
10/10/2005 2:57:40 PM
its something like that hang on ill checkits funky rules
10/10/2005 3:01:35 PM
sorry sacks are only work 2 points (7 sacks-14 points)1 point per 5 return yards (153 yards - 30.6 points)1 INT = 2 points (1 pick - 2 pts)and somewhere there is .04 worth of points for something else that i didnt see[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 3:32 PM. Reason : total - 47pts]
10/10/2005 3:28:01 PM
1 pt for 5 return yards??wowhow many pts per rushing/receiving/passing yds?and dont sleep on dilfer. he is consitent if nothing else, although braylon may be out for a couple weeks so you might want to pick him up once braylon is healthy again.
10/10/2005 3:57:37 PM
deuce mcallister- torn acl, done for the yearsomehow i don't think antowain smith will be that great as a replacement for him either.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=2186602[Edited on October 10, 2005 at 4:08 PM. Reason : ]

Thomas Jones is out for next weet at least. Should this be the time to put Cedric Benson in the lineup? He will be the starter, but who knows what he'll do against Minnesota.I have to decide whether I want him in or Troy Williamson. Hmmm..I am leaning toward giving Benson a shot with Minnesota giving up 180 rushing yds. a game.[Edited on October 11, 2005 at 2:29 PM. Reason : ]
10/11/2005 2:27:10 PM
sweet... ive been holding on to benson... looks like I might just give him a shot!!
10/11/2005 2:53:16 PM
^^ thomas jones is trying hard to play this week, last I heard.
10/11/2005 7:09:46 PM
yeah i had Thomas Jones as well. I hate to drop him because he is putting up big yardage but if he isnt going to play next week then I have no choice but sit him and play Benson
10/11/2005 7:29:07 PM
I recieved a trade offer to get Stephen Davis for Santana Moss. In my league, Davis has 72 points and Moss has 55. Good trade or not?
10/12/2005 6:12:39 PM
go for it, thats a great deal
10/12/2005 6:14:38 PM
The main thing I'm worried about is that he's listed as questionable for next week. Hopefully his knee is still healthy.
10/12/2005 6:16:37 PM
one week is not a big deal
10/12/2005 6:17:56 PM
Stephen Davis has been getting fewer carries it seems each week, seems they are turning him into a Jerome Bettis. Look for his yards to go down, but his TD's to stay steady. If Washington's offense can get rolling Moss could get some good stats(see Dallas game), but that's saying a lot since that offense is very sporadic.
10/12/2005 10:08:00 PM
i can't decide between 2 of 3 for these guys: chris henry, chris cooley and joey porterright now i'm going towards cooley and porter for obvious reasons, but there is a chance that Housh might not play and that would get chris henry involved again...what do you guys think
10/13/2005 11:07:18 AM
Start Eli or Bledsoe this week?
10/13/2005 7:02:50 PM
What wide receivers should I start this weekend? I have three spots for them:Jimmy Smith (@ Pit)Santana Moss (@ KC)Reggie Wayne (vs. STL)Joe Jurevicius (vs. HOU)
