it seems evey 4 or 5 new threads is about needing a roommate or an apartment or something along those lines. It seems to me that a tool like this would unclutter the various topics and help out those looking for a place to live.

yeah, kinda like the apartment finders out htere. if you have a place, you can enter number of rooms, rent, etc. if you need a place you can enter price range, roommate preferences, etc.
