Ok, i'm confused on why, but pretty often when i'm on tww, and usually when replying to a thread, my cpu usage goes to 100%, and IE is the culpritit doesn't do it with any other site, and it only does it when the TWW window is in the foregroundany ideas why?

The problem is all the formatting they do with tables, I tell you. It takes a lot to render that shit.POOR, POOR HTML. SEPARATE FORMATTING AND CONTENT, THX. TABLES ARE FOR ORGANIZING DATA.
2/11/2003 3:08:53 PM
yeah but the thing is it does it on random pages, not on all of them. sometimes when replying, sometimes when viewing a thread, somtimes when viewing a section
2/12/2003 8:38:16 PM
what if you looked at TWW with a different browser... say mozilla, does it do the same thing?
2/14/2003 9:32:18 AM
oh, also it may be interesting if you install a sniffer such as ethereal (http://www.ethereal.com), and just start sniffing while you are browsing TWW and note when your cpu spikes. Then look at the sniffer trace (or you can send it to me if you don't know how to read a sniffer trace) and see if your computer is sending/receiving any strange traffic. I did that once and that's how i figured i had some damn spyware on my shit.
