I'm tired of seeing the same threads coming up over and over again: Where's the party this weekend, What's a n00b, I hate guys/girls. My suggestion is creating a new board to put those perpetual threads on. It would be like a Xmas present from CrazyJ and Joe to us.

Yeah, but most of those threads are started by n00bs, who probably wouldn't understand the concept of a "perpetual threads" board, and they'd end up being posted in the lounge, where you'd still have to see them.

And they would get moved to the appropriate board, just like other threads do.End of problem.

This is a good idea because I'm still new here and it'd be nice to have a page to check for before posting something that could very well be old or well-covered. You could also post things you feel may become a perpetual thread like, "What is a samp?" "Can someone post that one picture?" and "Check out this flash video"

Wait I thought my topics was the board for all those perpetual threads? I'm officially neutral in this matter.-bigginal

i think the idea sucks. it is absolutely impractical.

Why do you think it's impractical?

for one thing, it would only have like 20 threads at the most in it.second, you can't just create perpetual threads. They form of their own accord and most importantly, ARE NOT PERPETUAL. They all die out at some point. So then, what defines a perpetual thread? 7 pages? nah. 10 pages? no, 50 pages? maybe... Is it the title? would a 4 response thread with an appropriate title be moved to the perp. thread board? This would also create a "perpetual" work load for the mods, to maintain the integrity of the board, etc. by moving threads to and from the section; much more so than the other sections create.I could go on, but I won't because I can't think of any other reasons right now.

I think any categorical separation of threads at all is impractical.I think the free flow of conversation being broken by the "thread" concept is impractical.I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE TO TYPEHOW FUCKING FAR DO YOU WANT TO FALL DOWN THIS SLIPPERY SLOPE ANYWAY

I prefer to think of it as a laundry chute.
