I quit Facebook because it was just a constant churn of lies. The last straw, for me, were the lies about what was happening in WNC after Helene. I couldn't stand to see all these morons parroting bald-faced lies. Claims like 1 in 8 people were killed by the hurricane. Total bullshit. I quit Facebook for good on Jan 2, 2025.

I probably should have been off Twitter years ago since I get basically no replies unless I'm telling a Trump voter to piss off

muting elon musk helped a lot with that though, and I still appreciate the 18+ side of twitter enough to not give it up completely

I've been dabbling back into Facebook but am considering deactivating, as no one from high school talks to me anymore and I guess anyone I care to contact has my phone number or some other social media

Snewf, did you just quit (stop logging in), or did you delete your account entirely? I encourage you to save your data (if you want to), and delete your account. Don't be a participant at all. You are the product. Check out for good. They will try to stop you so many times. I think the process takes like 3 months before they finally (supposedly) delete it.
