I don't think there are parallel universes, a multiverse, and all that stuffwat do you guys think? can't wait to see their bitch asses stay in one universe forever

You’re living in a simulation. None of this is real.
1/19/2025 3:11:05 PM
You mean that you're calling out comic books?
1/19/2025 3:54:48 PM
No parallel universesBut there are definitely extra spatial dimensions
1/19/2025 5:10:44 PM
I fart in 7 dimensions
1/19/2025 5:57:54 PM
^ based on string theory I think it’s actually 9 dimensions
1/19/2025 5:59:18 PM
String theory is wrong. Fart theory is correct.

i'm content to say we just don't know. i read this book in high school called The Dancing Wu Li Masters that got me excited about the idea of multiverses and that stuck with me for many years, but i do my best to stay grounded to empirical evidence and there just isn't any at this point to say one way or another. there's a long history in physics of people figuring out the math to get to the right answer before the experimental evidence did, but it's best to just acknowledge our ignorance when appropriate

There are definitely not multiverses in the comic book sense where there are different versions of yourself running around.

1/19/2025 7:40:11 PM
I do.

It would be funny if we were in a simulation of what an infinite universe would look like, while our parent environment was actually a more sensible finite universe with laws of physics that make sense
1/20/2025 9:52:44 AM
I know I certainly would be laughing
1/20/2025 4:59:18 PM
1/21/2025 9:10:54 PM
but what if we never figure out that we're in that simulation then how funny would it be

When Loki took the Stone and got away, it led to the death of Kang at the end of time, creating the multiverse in that moment But the fractures in time and space went all the way back to the beginning, so while the alternative universes never existed, they also always existed.]
1/21/2025 10:39:57 PM
jk guys there are probably multiple universes
1/22/2025 2:14:58 PM
Professor Li explains this pretty clearly in his 2001 documentary

Give me any odds of what you think a multiverse existing is.Let's do something large.Let's do something like...."There's a 1 out of 1x10^10 chance."That means there's a one in ten billion chance that there are parallel universes out there. Is that not rare enough for you? Okay. Let's do 1 out of 1x10^15. That's a one in one quadrillion chance that we're living in a Type 1-4 multiverse.Based on observations from the Hubble Space Telescope, there are at least 125 billion galaxies with black holes in the universe, and the universe is expanding at an increasing rate.Cosmetologists and theoretical physicians are attempting to reconcile the universally-accepted Theory of General Relativity with the notion of Quantum Fields, and expert Brian Greene believes that there could be up to 5 more types of multiverse, one of which postulas that the universe exists inside of a black hole. Reconciling this theory with Hubble expansion, as a universe expands, the singularity of its corresponding black hole will evolve into an Einstein-Brosen Bridge, leading to a different universe. It is estimated that at least ten percent of all black holes have already left our cosmic horizon due to Hubble expansion, therehere are 6.25×10^18 black holes in the universe. If even a billionth of these black holes have singularities that lead to an alternate universe, then there are some 6.25×10^9 (billion) alternate realities in the multiverse.6,250,000,000.Now, what are the odds that NONE of these universes have any bagels in them?

whoaaa there nerd alert

lol @ physician took me 24 hours to get that one
