Is it just me or has YouTube, as a platform, been going downhill since the mid 2010s? Some things have improved, but the "QOL" seems worse. Things are less functional, layouts are more ambiguous, rules seem to be implemented without any regard for what the creators/community think... and the algorithm... bruh. It just seems like a failing organization, but given their immense user base and platform... it is impossible for them to really fail.To those of you with corporate experience, or experience in the issues I've mentioned, or any thoughts... what do you think?P.S. Don't get me wrong, I think YouTube is the best "social media" platform out there, but I feel that is credited more to the original idea and development than current management.
