On a related note, I had to run a pest control salesman off of my property on Memorial Day. I was even nice to him and let him give his pitch. But after 10 minutes and me telling him "no thanks, I'll pass" 8 times he just refused to move on. Then I had to get blunt with him and say "I'm asking you to leave my property". He was rude to other neighbors too. Told one of the ladies she needed to tell her husband to get off the couch and come talk to him since he makes the decisions.

^We had a tornado roll through my neighborhood a few weeks ago. Most of the neighborhood was without power for about 24 hours and a lot of people had downed trees and roofing damage. No air conditioning, humid /sticky air and a lot of people generally stressed out and on edge. Two different pest control door to door salesmen from two different companies thought that day would be the best day to walk around the neighborhood trying to sell their services. They literally couldn't even drive their cars to some parts of the neighborhood because city relief efforts were removing trees from blocked roads. So they walked around the downed trees to knock on doors. Baffling how out of touch these people were.

They said a similar thing to my wife about telling her to get me since "I know about this kind of stuff". Yeah, great business idea there dude. Certainly a way to get my business is to insult my wife.
