My heater has cooled, although i crushed UFC 300 bets. all my free bets are done, unless i download MGMbets, they have $150 free bet promo. Might do that for Stanley cup playoffs.

made some bets for the Canes yesterday, BEFORE they sat everyone, then hedge by taking Blue Moneyline so ended up.

I'm terrible at NBA and not great at MLB.

got a few wins on the Masters, but no big ones hit.

I didn't even post in this thread and I still got trashed. I really don't care if other people want to gamble on sports (or on something else). I'm not going to try to moralize. From a personal perspective, I prefer activities that reduce stress rather than add to it, and from a financial perspective, those with an expected long-term positive real return (above inflation). I don't get a rush from putting money up for potential loss, and I'm not interested in a proliferation of accounts and surrender of privacy just to use their own "free bets" money to gamble with. I am confident I would have the self control to manage it, but the reason they offer free bets is of course because they have done the research to conclude that they're going to come out ahead on the whole. The sports books are not in this game to lose money. I am choosing not to participate. I don't actively dislike most sports, but I've come to care less and less about them as time has elapsed, and now I'm getting bombarded with all the lame-ass sports gambling marketing. Good luck to all who participate. I sincerely hope you are massively successful. I know in my case that I do not have unique insights and would not derive pleasure from losing money. Legal gambling winnings also complicate your taxes. So, nah.

No, I would at least be between 51 and 75, and maybe between 76 and 100. I am disciplined and patient and can ride out economic downturns without panic-selling, but I make a distinction between investments supported by fundamentals and a long-term track record and sports gambling. One I am expected to win, and the other I am expected to lose.

And let the record show I only posted in this thread after a low blow comment. I have nothing to add to the discussion here.

First rule of betting is don't bet more than you're willing to lose. I have no problem throwing some $5 bets at things with unlikely odds, for the chance that I'll hit on them every now and then. That said, I am sick of all the commercials and advertisements. Better than political ads I guess.

Yeah if you’re viewing gambling as anything beyond entertainment then you might have a problem.

Casual bettor isn’t gonna come out ahead long term. So yeah, it’s not for everybody. Expectations are important. Don’t go in expecting to hit a crazy parlay or think you’re gonna consistently beat the house.

It was def a fun ride with the Wolfpack, when i usually Fade them.

It's def fun to have a little money on games here an there, i haven't bet too big, but I'm way up and have already pulled out a large profit, daddy's gonna buy a Sauna after TAXE$$$$. So, now its more a little bets here and there and the occasionally big bet that i don't worry about losing.

Next ride is Stanly cup bets. i think I've put in a total of $100 or $125 between several betting apps. bet365 i zeroed out, still going in all the others.

I’ve used Fan Duel, Draft Kings, and Bet MGM. IMO draft kings has the better app/interface. Fan Duel is fine. Bet MGM kinda sucks imo.

Had an * game NBA playoff moneyline. got 7 and had Pacers over Bucks. Cashed out 210 on a 5 dolla bet 5 min before the Paces/Bucks game, thank goodness. Pacers got ran.

I saw Kyle Busch at +2000 last night in BetMGM to win today's race (he won the pole). Checked it earlier today and he was at +700. A lot of the other books yesterday had him at +1200 or +1300. Seems like a lot of potential value in NASCAR if you keep on top of the various books at various times during the week.

DK lets you do $50 a day on the MLB promo "up by 2 wins" the money line. i always take the away team because they bat first
