Saw this on Netflix the other night. Really enjoyed it and laughed a ton. Anyone else watch it? Also I was not expecting to see a JLaw nude scene as funny as the one in this movie.

I was planning to watch it with my kid brother and didn't know about that scene. I ended up not watching it with him cause we ended up doing something else (which ended up being a good thing), and watched it myself later on.I enjoyed the movie.[Edited on January 25, 2024 at 11:38 AM. Reason : -]

^ Oh yeah! I forgot about that.I just quickly thought about the plot again, and yeah, to elaborate, it was a neat little thing. Many may have seen it coming, but I really liked the synopsis too. He goes his way, she realizes that she needs to move on, and the couple get the house. Honest and real

I wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel.

^An indirect one, like how Final Destination did it, or a sequel to this plot specifically?I can only see the latter working if its a complete different genre.

Sequel to this one with the same characters. Maybe Maddie has to go help Percy while he is in college or something.

Actually, yeah, you're right, I could see that. Kind of like how 21 Jump Street went from high school to college. Similar enough to make it work, but different enough to make it fresh and allow for something different.I would really like to see that.

The way I could see it work is Maddie goes to Princeton to help out Percy after getting a call from his parents about him having trouble fitting in at college. She goes there and poses as a student and a friend of his to make him look cool or navigate fitting in. The jokes write themselves as other students question her age and she says “yeah I am a senior.” Or says she’s in grad school. Then while there she meets a professor and the professor grows to like her, but again going with the whole inappropriate relationship theme he can’t actually like her if he knows she is a student. And so forth.

I like the second half of your idea, but I feel that they should meet on a different premise.Him just "not fitting in" again would be going backwards, as would be his parents calling her.Maybe she becomes like a photographer or aquatic animal researcher or something, and ends up coming back to the university for something related to that[Edited on January 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
