I've always wondered what the legal importance of this statement was when seeing it on websites?

Like if you didn't update it from "© 2023 by The Wolf Web - All Rights Reserved.", would there be a difference?
Or is there something you're applying for each year?
Also, does the statement need to be made? Like would there be any technical change if you didn't put the statement there at all?

Did you read the TWW TOS before signing up? If quantum Fred forgets to update the year, TWW gets returned back to the people

I judge the relevance of companies based on when they last updated the year on their website. Greater than two years ago, and I have to wonder whether this company pays any attention to details. Son, I am disappoint!

But TWW is clearly on the bleeding edge.

Interesting, other platforms should have it too, cause I've seen many sites which are out of date. But my original question still stands.
