He ended up winning the overall race, though -- shit stop and all. Cycling bib shorts usually have a padded / felted section, so it's not like direct ass contact on the seat, but your point is valid. It would suck.

That was 20 miles from an uphill finish while he was in the overall lead, so every second he spends shitting is being lost to competitors. Pretty big payday for overall grand tour wins. There was a lot of pressure on that shit. Bet he was riding on pure adrenaline after that.

I hope he got to wipe. My comment was less about getting shit on the seat, than having a shitty-ish ass area and then immediately having to do a bike pedaling motion for an extended period of time. But that's why they get paid the big francs or euros or whatever.
