tips on investing?

IDK how to do any of that stuff LOL

basically IDC if I'm rich, I just want to make enough to where I don't have to work anymore - or maybe I could "retire" by 50 or something so I don't work myself to death

I don't have any kids or wife (no surprise) to support

I'm workin' with a few hundred grand or so

should I play the lottery? like maybe smaller ones? any certain types of investments? any tips?

I know it's not the best move to stop working, but it makes me so miserable sometimes

it would be easier to just suck it up if I had some friends or like you know, any kind of human interaction whatsoever, but as it stands, sucking it up isn't working for me

Purchase low-expense broadly-diversified mutual funds regularly as you get paid, and try to never sell. It's often easier to control your spending than your income. The math is dead simple, and if you are disciplined, it's easy to retire at a level of wealth that many would consider well-off without ever making an especially high salary. Avoid debt where possible.

It's hard to ever tell how serious you are about anything. I recommend automatic investment in VTSAX or VTIAX as a primary vehicle.

I'd prob have decent luck on the smaller lotteries, I just never play them so idk what's what
