This echos what I'm seeing from his Forward Party, which appears to be right leaning. Not a fan as a party for myself but perhaps a party that can splinter the existing republican party, which at this stage in their evolution could be a net win for the republic.

Somewhere between “Trump is god-king and can do no wrong” and “no one is above the law, including former presidents” is “He might have committed crimes, but it will seem political if we investigate, so we should just let him off.”
