I'm on the fence about the whole series, honestly. It's very disturbing for a number of reasons. I dont think I'll even finish it, cause it's so fucked up.

But for real tho, dont watch episode 5.

^^ yeah, we are past episode 5. On episode 6 when the in -laws called to talk. It was a much needed break.... We told them to skip over episode 5.


^ I kind of agree. Man, it certainly feels like an exploitation of black trauma in the United States. It kinda feels like a series meant for white people. I mean, these are the stories that black families have passed down through the ages to the younger generation.... it's like "DUDE, I KNOW..."

I couldn't honestly tell anyone to watch that series. One part of me can understand where the series originates... The other part of me says it's racism porn.

Before watching it, the reviews I read compared it to Antebellum, but I guess this isn't anything like it. I can't not finish a series I've started.

Another thing about this series I don't understand is Betty's ending. She got what she deserved, but certainly not in a way I was expecting. Just kinda came out of nowhere.
