I've been progressively happier with Manny every season, he's a block machine and a decent rebounder. Wish his shooting was a bit better but you can't have it all.

Games like tonight though make it clear he needs a no. 2 like DJ to take turns throughout the game.

His defense is obviously further along than his offense, but he seems to be on a good trajectory. He was great tonight but he had to play 37 minutes, which is just too much.

His offense is coming along nicely. I'd like to see some improvement in his defensive rebounding performances though. For as big and strong as he is, he's not very good at keeping teams off the offensive glass.

This was only his 4th game of his second season (he's a redshirt sophomore, redshirted due to shoulder injury), but I agree that he's obviously progressing.

Bates is already 6th in school history in career blocks (145). Anya is 1st (243). he's averaging 2.8 blocks/game for his career. even if he only plays one more season and goes pro he could still pass Anya next year if he plays 30+ games.

He was also the fastest NC State player to 100 blocks.

^The transfer rumors were legit but I think KK was able to talk to him and convince him to re-think everything. Seems like he had some voices telling him certain things and KK was able to talk him off the ledge.

Still going to be a bit of a waiting game until July 1st.
