TWW was offline for the duration of this show's 1st season on HBO but damn it was really good. Oh how I wished I could discuss it with my TWW friends as it progressed, but now we can at least discuss afterward. The show itself was absolute bonkers. Sorcerers, treasure hunts, ghosts, shamans, monsters, magic, succubi, shape shifting, and time travel. It was almost like a D&D campaign set in the 1950s.Also legit commentary on racism and homophobia. I knew things were bad for the black community in the 1950s but damn. My history classes kind of glossed over just how bad it was. Really puts in to perspective just how brave those civil rights activists were.

Agreed it was awesome. And the plot definitely did not remotely head where I assumed it would from the first episode or two. There’s some acting that was questionable but nothing fatal.

The ending didn't make a lot of sense to me, but this show was wild.

^I'm with you on that one. Not sure how Letitia came back to life after being knocked out of the tower. The blonde sorceress took away her invulnerability, so how did she live? If she somehow retained it, why didn't she just get up right away?
