If any organization in this Great Country is deserving of a helping hand from the government, surely it's the Ayn Rand Institute.

and if there’s enough left after they get theirs, Grover Norquist is in dire need of a few bucks

we shoulda just skipped the bureaucratic middle step and given the money directly to Americans. just like we should be doing for most social safety net benefits that end up being bureaucratic disasters.that said, I have no problem with the millionaire and billionaire owners and investors of companies getting millions of dollars in pandemic relief money for those companies, as long as its being used as intended to continue paychecks for their employees. everybody getting upset about TGI Friday's, etc are just fucking over all the employees that work for them. I think everybody just assumes the programs are being abused by large companies without looking for actual evidence. it's an understandable reaction, but it's not entirely rational [Edited on July 7, 2020 at 1:06 PM. As someone who lives in a heavily looted area, Santa Monica, I was a bit disappointed that my local immigrant owned eye doctor and Vietnamese nail salon got looted. Why not the Cheesecake Factory across the street or the wine store with $1 mm in wine inventory that has a glass of wine that costs $800 on the menu down the block?I refer to the 4 trillion dollars given to the finance industry and QE that's been done to pump up the stock market as looting as well, so YMMV.

George Carlin:The upper class: keeps all of the money, pays none of the taxes. The middle class: pays all of the taxes, does all of the work. The poor are there... just to scare the shit out of the middle class.I am just as upset about giant corps getting millions and billions in unchecked government relief funds, but I don't know how to fix the problem of CEO's and politicians constantly sucking each other off.

Providing 60-75% of total funds to those in need actually is very efficient and well run for a government social program.

^ I don't understand how the CEO of Blackstone is going to keep his yacht then? Think about the jobs of the people working in ports that deliver food and alcohol to the boat.
