I don't know who would do that either. I would feel weird video chatting with someone I had never met, if that is what you are talking about. I prefer tww method of talking to people on here for a while and then eventually meeting up with them for a tunnel painting event, or rec league soccer. I've heard online dating sites have had a huge spike in memberships since the COVID 19 shutdown started because of video chatting. I would feel weird doing that too. I think I would rather just see the still photo and then e-mail/text and meet up somewhere.

That's not quite what I was talking about, my friend. I can certainly understand the confusion, given my penchant for not really elaborating in my thread titles and opening post**. What I was referring to was people that you know, video calling you out of the blue. Even a close family member. Like, you need to at least send a heads up text first, right?!

FaceTimed my mom once when FaceTime was new. It has a different ring so I thought she would know. It was her birthday and I wanted to sing her happy birthday. Well, she answered fresh out the shower. Said ohhhhh I can see you. Wait you can’t see me right?? I was like no mom I looked away when I saw the wet hair. I’ll call you back on voice and explain this wizardry. Disaster averted by a couple of inches.

Moral of story: don’t FaceTime your mom before you know she has clear understanding of FaceTime.

a had a manager get furloughed, new one they assigned to me cold facetimed me to axe why i disabled the no talkin on phone while driving app. told me to have it on for at least a few minutes a day so i wont be on the report
