I've seen the first two and will keep watching. It's just got way too many people that I like for one, and for two I work in the federal government so it hits home. Lastly if feels like a bit of a rif on our current administration's incompetence so that's always fun.

Watched the first episode. Not great, not terrible. I will continue to watch. I think a lot of people were hoping that this would essentially be Michael Scott, but in a military role.

Four episodes in, and it feels JUST like Michael Scott to me.

Spends 90% of the episode making bad decisions that you laugh at but makes you feel bad about him.
Then makes 1 heart-warming decision or speech and you like the character.
Rinse and repeat.

gotten through 6 episodes. Had a couple laughs, but carells character just isn't doing it for me. Seems forced. And I hate his voice...hard to listen to for me. His general secretary and john malkovich are the only redeemable parts of the show. Not sure i feel like continuing but i'll prolly finish the season just because

Man, this show just wasn't good. It didn't know what to be and just had way to many plots that went nowhere. The realism was also a joke, like to the point where it was just off-putting. It seems like with some minor changes it could have been great

1. Lose the wife subplot, just make Naird a widower/divorced dad
2. Lose the Russian guy dating the daughter subplot that went no where
3. Make Ali an experienced astronaut training enlisted astronauts since her going from 'I want to study botany' to 'I'm leading a moon machine' jump in one episode was insane
4. Make the science actually some what grounded in reality
5. Lose the voice for Naird

I liked all scenes with the Joint Chiefs and Mallory, but man, that ending does not make me want to go back for S2

Watched two episodes in a night a few weeks back and completely forgot about this. Wasn't impressed at all, didn't hear a lot of buzz to make me re-engage and this thread confirmed I made the right choice.

Yes, this! I've only watched two episodes but what the hell is Steve Carell doing with his voice? It sounds like he is trying to growl or something as he talks? Why?

Also, lol at the "science". I get that this is supposed to be a comedy so it is supposed to be lighthearted, but a Chinese spacecraft comes up out of nowhere and cuts the solar panels off of an American satellite and the only one that knows it is the leader of the Space Force because he just so happens to be looking at it with a telescope at the same time? Like this super important satellite doesn't have a guy tracking any large objects coming anywhere near it for this exact kind of thing?
