- My son is 18 months, and for the last two months I've been able to watch him zoom through this age, as they grow so fast. Normally he would be spending most of his time in the daycare. That isn't to say that having him home hasn't been stressful, along with his school aged sister - it has been one of the most stressful things I've gone through, but I'm thankful to be able to spend this time with them.

- hopefully the end of open offices. I've worked from home the past two years so being at the house while working is nothing new to me, but I've always felt like open offices were dumb ideas to start with.

- It seems like people are getting outside more. I see so many more people walking around the neighborhood and generally being more social with their neighbors. Albeit at a little bit of a distance.

- More of a focus on cooking at home

And yes, unlike synapse, I answer my own questions.

-I typically work from the office, so all of this time working from home has meant I save so much on gas. I don't have to deal with traffic which is horrendous in the DMV.

-its been nice spending more time with family.

-been cooking a lot more, which also represnets $$ savings

- the added time at home has given me a chance to do some housework that I had been putting off

- I think that because of the pandemic, more people are realising just how inadequate our healthcare system is. And people are able to see how vulnerable populations are affected differently.

-I'm able to schedule my and my pet's doctor visits for any time I want

Working from home all the time has lowered my stress greatly, mostly because I don't have to deal with a shitty congestion laden commute.

Less mileage on the cars. Instead of 1500-2000 miles a month I've been only driving around 250-300. So less fuel consumption.

Lots more time with my dog which is great because he's getting up there in age so who knows how much longer he'll be around.

Been doing more talking/facetiming with friends and family than I usually would.

Have made a few new friends in my neighborhood.

Taken the time in seclusion to paint a lot of interior rooms of my house. Really happy with that work.

1. Businesses have been forced to accept work from home as a viable alternative to sitting at a desk in an office for precisely 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (or more). If this is the beginning stage of the death of cube farm office life I'm here for it.

2. I'm spending significantly less money on stupid shit.

3. I've started trying to buy more stuff from local sources rather than going to Amazon/etc for every single thing.

-We bought our first house beginning of March, so this has given us a lot of time to get familiar with the new place and neighborhood. It was good timing, in that sense, and also because we would have killed each other both working from home in our old one-bedroom apartment

-Similarly, all the time at home allowed for some early work around the house, and it's easing me into the prospect of doing new chores after work. Mowing the lawn, for example.

-My office had been waging a crusade against telework and this put a stop to those capers, hopefully for a good while

-I already cooked a lot but the free time gained by not commuting has allowed me to experiment a lot, especially with the grill I finally, finally own. Most of those experiments have been successful.

-The dog is thrilled.

-The household in general is spending less, and on my own I'm spending nearly zero, since I rarely buy new items but do love lunches out and happy hours.

-Hopefully more people are starting to see the pathetic state of American healthcare and our patchwork of social safety nets.

- Greenhouse gas emissions down in double digits

- Himalayas visible from hundreds of km away, from multiple countries

- [Hoping that] many endangered species are catching a break

- Cleaner air worldwide, and especially in cities notorious for smog, such as New Delhi, LA, Mexico City, Paris, Chinese cities, and many others

- Fewer car accidents and attendant injuries and deaths

- [Hopefully] fewer murders, rapes, assaults, robberies, and other violent crime

**********************

Unfortunately, all that is temporary, and as soon as they can, humans will be back to raping and pillaging the planet and each other.

* Zero commute - lunch with pre-school aged kids, garden breaks, don't have to "leave for work" until later

* More recognition that the U.S.'s health insurance biz is more about the "biz" and less about the "health"

* Standing up during all meetings

Oh I meant to add, and this is a huge knock on wood, but since we pulled my son from daycare, he hasn't been sick a single day. Normally he keeps a cold that will keep him up at night.
