was ist deine Lieblingsmannschaft? Most of my only good memories in Germany involve going to the stadiums and watching the Bundesliga live. You wake up at 9 and meet your buddies with backpacks full of beer. You walk with said beer in your hand while drinking and walking to the train station. Drink said beer on the train while in route to the stadium. Then walk to stadium parking lot while emptying your beer supply. Be sure to say hello to the cops. Then get great seats and watch the game. Classic!BVB crushed Schalke today and are right on Bayern's ass. Since this is one of the few sports that are being played now, it deserves its own thread! If you don't know anything about the Bundesliga, then I'd recommend following teams such Gladbach, Köln, and Hertha Berlin. Schalke also has some surging American players.[Edited on May 16, 2020 at 6:41 PM. Reason : h]

It's very interesting to watch the Bundesliga games now with no fans in the stage. The stadium announcer is going crazy as if the fans were there, and from the parts that I can pick up, it does sound a lot like Hitler German. This brings up a very interesting point. Hitler spoke the way that he did because he was usually broadcasting over a mic to thousands upon thousands of people. Everybody sounded like that back then when they were speaking in public to a large audience. Just like the in-game announcer for the Bundesliga games shouts because he's trying to reach as many people as possible. However, due to Hitler's infamous character as a leader, the entire world has come to associate the german language as loud and harsh, when in reality all leaders back then had to speak loud and hard into a microphone. Germans don't walk around shouting and sounding like Hitler, they are actually very soft spoken in public and try to make as little noise as possible.

Yeah, I didn’t come here for the history lesson on Hitlers effect on German culture. But I did come here to say that it was disappointing to turn on Dortmund and see Reyna was out injured after being listed as getting his first start. Also, they should pipe in some crown noise. Just a little, for ambiance.[Edited on May 17, 2020 at 6:18 PM. Reason : Also, McKennie was pretty dreadful]

Yeah, disappointed about reyna, too. I think that the games will still be very exciting without the fans. There are only 9 games and still some room to shift around at the top.

I wonder what the over/under is on how much longer Haaland stays at BVB.

except when they say their word for butterfly and I think they just saw something really dangerous and take off running the opposite direction.

^ fake newsIf you want an honest feeling for how they pronounce their language, just watch the tavern scene in Inglorious Bastards as opposed to parody skits on youtube. In particular, pay attention to the SS officer and the leading actress. They both did a great job and are both incredibly well known in Germany. I have no idea how an American director was able to pull that off.[Edited on May 20, 2020 at 1:32 PM. Reason : a]

BVB up at the half, but the most beautiful person to ever play a Bundesliga game just got subbed out at the half. I hope that he's alright.

I can't believe that sancho's assist went so smoothly on that goal. Wow! Good win by BVB and there's some other good games coming up
