my friend and I used to do this every year for foreigners and/or expats. We would spend the whole day drinking and cooking, and typically mess everything up aside from the bird.

This year was much calmer, but I was with my family for the first time in almost a decade. It was great.

yeah. I used to grow pumpkins with my son every year in Germany, and he really enjoyed watching the plants grow and the bees that come with those huge flowers. So, since she's got three kids I recommended doing that again this year, and they all enjoyed it.
