This has to be done to be fair to Netflix and Amazon.Launches tomorrow. What are we most excited for?

Obviously the Mandalorian is their flagship show, and it looks pretty great (/message_topic.aspx?topic=650919), but I’m excited for a lot of the new marvel shows too, especially the “What if...?” series, although that may be a year or 2 out still. Also I’m going to watch the shit out of the 90s X-men cartoon, and might make my way through Gargoyles as well.

+1 on The MandalorianThough from what I've heard it's a weekly episode release instead of a season dump. Which I'm not thrilled about.
11/11/2019 3:07:46 PM
Really hoping for a resurrection of the Netflix Marvel shows. I don't like how Iron Fist ended, without seeing a follow-up.
11/11/2019 4:16:01 PM
I wonder if any Disney product on TV will show up on D+ episode by episode. For example, would new episodes of a show like Agents of SHIELD show up as the season aired or would they only be on ABC's website?

I downloaded the mobile app but can't figure out how to play anything. I click on a show, it goes to a new screen, but then there are no buttons to play or download or even add to watch list.Edit: nevermind, everything plays except mandalorian lol[Edited on November 12, 2019 at 9:02 AM. Reason : -]

Apparently, Disney+ servers struggling this morning and the twittersphere isn't happy about it.
11/12/2019 11:41:43 AM
I figured it would happen. Biggest launch day in streaming history, of course there were going to be bugs to work out.
11/12/2019 12:05:17 PM
I can't believe its 2019 and people still get upset at server issues on launch days. Its to be expected
11/12/2019 12:22:49 PM
It's just the hype, the over reactions by high anticipations, makes thing messed.

I'm sad that this means an end to streaming every Simpsons ever (except for the Michael Jackson episode) for free. Also Disney has fucked up the golden age of The Simpsons by only offering them in 16:9 instead of the 4:3 they were made for.
11/12/2019 10:13:35 PM
Started the free trial last night and watched Captain American--Civil War.
11/13/2019 10:13:37 AM
what's on the ESPN programming?
11/13/2019 5:02:19 PM
anyone watching stuff on Disney+ via Amazon Fire TV? So far I watched Mandalorian and then Endgame, and both had weird shifts in coloring at random moments throughout the whole episode/moviekind of annoyingedit - just found a subreddit about the whole deal, seems like it's just one of the issues on launch, apparently tinkering w/ the firetv display settings can get it to stop messing around[Edited on November 14, 2019 at 8:53 PM. 11/14/2019 8:43:01 PM
I've been using Chromecast
11/15/2019 11:40:29 AM
Like half the movies I've wanted to watch won't be available until like July
11/16/2019 6:48:32 PM
I'm a little surprised that Agents of SHIELD isn't in the library ... it's Marvel and also on ABC, which is a Disney-owned thing right?
11/17/2019 1:44:34 AM
It’s on Netflix, so there is probably some rights issue, just like with a few of the MCU movies
11/17/2019 6:54:54 AM
Is it expected that Disney is going to rotate what is available from their catalog every few months or are they just waiting to get some of their resources back from other deals so they can eventually have everything always available? I understand why they would want to constantly rotate every few months, but at the same time I'd be a little annoyed if I sprang for Disney+ and had to wait a few months to see the Disney show/movie I wanted to see.
11/18/2019 9:14:24 AM
I believe I read that once something goes on, there are no plans to ever remove it.
11/18/2019 9:40:51 AM
From what I have heard Disney had an agreement with Netflix for releasing titles on that platform. I believe the agreement runs through 2022. So some movies will rotate off Disney+ (Mainly Marvel and Star Wars titles). Netflix will actually get to premiere a majority of the new releases. The live version of Beauty and the Beast is currently on Netflix and will not be on the Disney+ platform until October 2020. That said the rotating title will be minimal and they only be temporarily gone while they complete their run on Netflix.
11/18/2019 10:25:22 AM
Added a movie to my watchlist and there was a note that said "this title won't be available until jan. 9th 2021. add to your watchlist now to be reminded" That's some BS right there. They need to not have these titles right on the main screen if they aren't available right away.
11/27/2019 3:54:37 PM
Agreed. I really want to watch Cool Runnings, but I can't
11/27/2019 4:26:13 PM
Does this have the original disney movies? like Famous Jett Jackson
11/27/2019 4:55:56 PM
I don't like that for TV shows you have to find the next episode yourself instead of the player automatically going to the next episode you haven't watched yet.A super minor inconvenience for sure, but one Amazon and Netflix have overcome.
12/25/2019 10:06:18 PM
Disney+ does that for me...
12/25/2019 10:21:48 PM
Everytime I open up a show I've already begun watching it's set to play episode 1.
12/25/2019 10:44:58 PM
Oh well I just use the continue watching thing on the main page
12/25/2019 11:41:26 PM
disney+ doesnt even show which episodes i have watched in the past (unless that has recently been updated). been trying to watch clone wars and cant even tell which ones i have watched or not.
12/26/2019 1:46:02 PM
The UI definitely needs some work. At this point in the streamer game there's no excuse. They have so many other platforms to base theirs on.
12/26/2019 4:16:32 PM
HAPPY COOL RUNNINGS RELEASE DATE!
1/1/2020 11:26:27 AM
UI on my TCL/Roku is not good. Worst part is there is no way to FF/RW more than 3 seconds at a time/per click.[Edited on January 1, 2020 at 12:42 PM. Reason : Also no option to restart ]
1/1/2020 12:42:39 PM
Why would you want to rewind cool runnings?
1/1/2020 1:44:35 PM
Got one-year free membership as Verizon customer. Good deal.

So I already have an issue with Disney+. I'm not going to be one of those folks that are going to ditch it because the Mandalorian isn't around anymore - I tend to stick with a thing. However, I feel like they've really missed the mark in having a follow-up show to fill the void. Netflix always has several original shows going at once. Even if you don't watch them all, there's almost always new original content being added. Disney+ does have some original content, but nothing matching the Mandalorian. I'm hoping it ramps up. They should have had one of their Marvel shows ready to go right after the Mandalorian's season finale aired.
1/30/2020 4:18:56 PM
I dropped it, will perhaps renew for a month when the next season wraps up and drop again
1/30/2020 4:23:33 PM
^^ I have to agree. My kids love it so it’s not going anywhere, but I’m honestly shocked that Loki or wandavision wasn’t queued up and ready to go. It’s not like they’re hurting for material
1/30/2020 5:39:01 PM
I was thinking the same thing, the amount of movies is pretty stale after the initial roll out. We have the bundle and actually have used espn+ more than Disney
1/30/2020 6:21:38 PM
Netflix didn’t initially flood the market with original content even though Disney has more money than most countries, they more than likely chose to wait to invest more in original programming until they knew their first foray into the field was a successand that first foray wasn’t cheap
1/30/2020 6:45:34 PM
and you get every episode of the Simpsonsevery parent in America should be required to show their kids the Simpsons
1/30/2020 7:25:12 PM
^^I don’t buy that. Based on their expectations, they should have had more original content at launch. Unless you are suggesting they only hoped they would do well, but hedged their bets and wanted to wait and see.
1/30/2020 8:05:58 PM
I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing that the budget for the Mandalorian was bigger than the budget for any Netflix showit’s also a sign of our times to say, “MORE PLZ” to a service that didn’t exist 3 months ago
1/30/2020 8:26:01 PM
^ pretty sure The Crown had a ridiculous budgetI do think they could have had at least 1-2 other seasons announced and ready to roll out shortly after Mandalorian. There was no way Disney+ was going to launch entirely dependent on the short-term success of one show and a few months of subscriptions.

I as a 34 yo have never watched a single episode of Simpsons. Why should every parent show it to there child? Is it age appropriate?

look at you, frank grimes.
